  1. Wait, no weapon designs for the new Deep Dungeon?
    That sounds a bit meek. Also the "story" of Heaven on High was a complete joke, compared to Palace of the Dead, and the lore/atmosphere behind it. So the new Deep Dungeon going off from HoH's "story", is just baffling to me, even considering it was about Allagan warrior training simulation program. It was so dull, I rather have a PotD means of mysticism around it instead, where things go beyond life, death, and time itself.
    Hopefully not a carbon copy of HoH that would be disappointing as well. Because the bosses were boring AF, compared to potd, with the last few floors being interesting but they really really need to make the bosses fun or exciting for repeated explorations.
    Looking forward to the PLL tomorrow though, hopefully it will shine enough light on all the speculative subjects, and that they stop being so vague about answers to obvious important questions. They themselves are at fault for creating the disappointments that were Island Sanctuary and Variant/Criterion Dungeon, for being too vague and not coming forth with proper answers right out of the gate, they did a No Man's Sky of, "Maybe…", or a Diablo 4 of, "ah btw, don't expect too much to be announced or answered at all".

  2. I assume the ability they're talking about is Ensuna. I so very rarely use that ability I thought about dropping it off my mouse buttons but it is sometimes very useful during roulettes.

  3. I’m still cackling at the thought that the best weapons in the game are locked behind the Manderville story.
    It’s still amusing that all those “hardcore gamerz” who spend hours min-maxing their kits are bing told to “do the silly side story” if they want their shiny new toys.
    Still, this kinda feels like Yashida-san and the team are trying to tell the players to step back from the grindstone and take a breath, and it’s very much appreciated.

  4. Perhaps the ability healers never use is Repose. I remember having to add that to my bar for one of the healer role quests.

    I really hope they aren't taking about Esuna because everyone should have it on their bar…

  5. Here's an idea square enix feel free to steal this. Tataru learns from our experience with Island sanctuary and the firmament and decides to open up a ski resort that we all contribute to. And boom snowboarding snowball fights craziness all around

  6. You make a good point about adventurer plates being available to everyone, I would love them to add some to Jonas achievements exchange, as there is nothing ever added anymore and would be great to see some there.

  7. The FFXIV Devs have done amazing with feedback from the community. So I agree with you on the go for it approach on the mini-games. Release the content in a play test state & make adjustments & add more to the content over time until we get something we all love.

  8. The issue with them adding more minigames, more and more will end up like that top down minion one. I remember unlocking it and was interested to play more…then found out pretty much no one plays it

  9. I hope they have news regarding when they will begin to fully integrate Viera and Hrothgar into the game. Completely disregarded, yet again, with the holiday event gear's head slot.

  10. For snowboarding, I can totally imagine them adding a new area to the Gold Saucer for Snow theme stuff, like snowboard races and customization in the same way as chocobo racing and breeding. Also a blitzball stadium for blitzball matches.
    It's kinda funny YoshiP says people won't play these things, when there's Verminion and Doman Mahjong in the game that literally nobody plays. (though I dearly wish more people would play Mahjong, I've been trying to learn it for a while with Mahjong Soul)
    Also, for the Lapis Manalis part, I imagine they're meaning things like Sleep and Aqua Prison or something, with regards to healer abilities nobody even puts on bars.

  11. 23:03 — I'd say thats Esuna (how often have I died because the healers wont bother to use their most elemental skill??) and, yes, Rescue. Though I use Resque quite frequently… even made myself a macro, and half the time it works 😀 (mostly, I'm to slow to save someone from AOEs, but hey, I tried XD ) … Also, healers have a Bind and a Sleep skill… or Sleep was für casters, and Bind for healers…
