First time I really realized how silly and great these royal family veggies are is in ff12 when they try to gang up on you, seeing them coming as mounts makes me happy, I sort of feel like playing 12 now, its very mmo like in a solo world
Basically, Eorzea needs to find a new Warrior of Light once 6.2 drops.
Honestly I'm looking forward to the increased glamour dresser space.
…What? Glamour is endgame content, bro. 😉
Very interesting update.
The crafted set will probably be the more popular part, since it can be dyed, tome set will likely need to be augmented before dyeable.
Looking forward to it all. getting through the MSQ, to get the new EX weapons, craft a bunch of sets, make a lot of gil, then finally end up being in Island Sanctuary till its daily limit is reached, I bet there will be limits to all of it, if not I'll overfarm or gather each and every nugget of land possible.
I hope that the new dungeon attached to the update will also have a surprising interesting armor sets but since they aren't showing it, so far at least, it probably means it'll be recolored version of old sets, which could be good.
Island Sanctuary probably going to be a huge hit, I wasn't expecting much, so they did extremely well in that regard. I'm looking forward to be sitting in PF waiting rooms, while doing stuff inside Island Sanctuary. Being able to queue for stuff inside Island Sanctuary should be expanded to other duty zones too, I believe.

I actually just finished the HW Alliance Raid (my last unfinished one) and wondered of Leofard will ever actually appear again (outside of certain parts of the game that has lots of other past characters reappearing), since he seemed to tease it, but it's been years since Heavensward. Quite the coincidence that he comes back now.
It's pretty hard to decide on what to do first in this patch. I actually planned the raid, since I want to experience one when it's fresh, no guides are out yet and everyone's on the same page. But I feel like I should do the MSQ as soon as possible. And over all of that looms the Island Sanctuary. There's not a lack of things to do for sure.
All of the Tomestones and crafted gear sets were showcased in the Liveletter. Yoshi-P showed the armor when he pulled up OG print outs like he usually does. I think it was at the end of the LL.
Also, I am not convinced the new raid armor won’t be glowy for the normal raid rewards. Yes, the weapons won’t be available and the armor won’t be dyeable unless you do savage, per usual, but the glow effects on the armor should still be accessible on the normal raid rewards. We have ONE instance way back in HW where the normal raid gave one skin for the armor, and the savage gave another, but it was a different situation then because the armor skins were completely different in terms of how they looked and they were different in terms of base color. Since then, the standard has always been that the normal raid gives the same baseline armor cosmetic as the savage version, the only difference is the savage version is dyeable.
People saying the armor won’t have the glow effects unless you do savage don’t make sense to me.
tbh I will be doing Savage for the first time because of the glam I already found a static and we want to go raiding right away when the new savage ones are out
That family veggie mount is something I thought was exclusive for islands only and could be used for islands only. But I could be wrong. I am still up in the air about criterion dungeons ( I think that is what they are called). Those dungeons that are suppose to be like mythic dungeons. I need to wait and see how the feedback will be about them. Last thing I want to do is leave WoW and it's excessive toxicness just to get into something in FFXIV with the same level of toxicness.
This might be the first time I do side content before the MSQ on patch day. lol Island Sanctuary is looking so amazing!

I'm so excited for all the new stuff. The gear looks great, the raid will be fun again and the Island Sanctuary will be my new home! Also wanted 4 man savage content for quite a while and while they're not due until 6.25, I have high hopes for the Criterion Dungeons.
Kinda hard to get psyched up for FFXIV patch 6.2 when YOU CAN'T ACCESS ANY OF THE CONTENT IT INTRODUCES BECAUSE YOU JUST CLEARED THE PRAETORIUM FOR THE FIRST TIME. X(
Sorry for the salt, I started a new character a month ago and this game is urging me to speedrun my way to the end of Endwalker, which is kinda hard since I want to use Duty Support for every story dungeon and that's not happening until 6.5 so the next expansion will be out before I can access Island Sanctuary.
(Yes, I have Kess, who is… starting SHADOWBRINGERS. *cries*)
At this point I might just switch to TemTem. 🙁
Was a boss fight /trial in ff12 with these guys , so be fun if they part of the trial they teasing us with , or if the trial is connected to ff4.

You know…I started out excited for island sanctuaries but ended excited about those dungeons. I think it’s criterion? My wife and I are looking for something exciting to 2-man with reputable challenge. Idk about my excitement for the island except for my black couerl kitten “Midnight” being able to roam around on her own. I literally have 215 minions and NEVER use another except for midnight. Im attatched to it
First order of business: New portraits for all my classes, for both of my characters.
Secondly: MSQ progression. (Primarily my alt in early Stormblood, then my main in 6.2)
Then whatever else follows after that, I still need to do Tataru's sidequest on main and HW alliance on alt lol

Outside of that probably enjoy the crap out of island Sanctuaries while waiting for the dungeons.

You're right, I basically have been counting down the hours haha. I always do MSQ first and everything related to that, so the dungeon and now trial as well. Then it will be off to Pandaemonium which I am VERY excited for the story, as well as EX trial at some point. And last but certainly not least, relax on my Island Sanctuary until Savage releases most likely.
I always begin a patch with content I can get spoiled, so MSQ obviously, but also trials and normal raids because sometimes there's surprises mid-fight and I'd rather see it in-game first than on reddit or on a youtube thumbnail because someone wasn't careful (or didn't care) about spoiling others.
