  1. the changes to machinist turret and automaton are very strange to me, there used to be some nuance to activating them while not being at 100 gauge, and now they just kind of stripped that out…

  2. They nerfed machinist… I mean ya taking potency and attaching that to battery gauge is nice but all of the abilities with a variable time now have fixed time which is less then the maximum before. Yet still has the same potency at full battery guage. Meaning overall it will do less damage, then on top of that they don't buff any of the other abilities to compensate. I'd just like to make one big boom like everyone else please…

  3. Ooo so they 'nerfed' the Gunbreaker Bloodfest to now 120 seconds (originally was 90 seconds), but in a way it helps to fit the No Mercy window better. Hmmm, not sure how I feel about that.

  4. So, they nerfed Machinist oneshot (which is nice), but didn't brother to fix SAM's utterly broken oneshot? Kuzushi triggers even from non-damaging cc. Oh, and no changes of NIN LB snapshot property. It's utter bullshit and proof that FF14 dev team has absolutely no idea how to balance PvP

  5. I think the enmity changes to healers will make the Duty Support NPCs much less wonky when soloing dungeons with DS active. Healers always aggro the packs if a heal goes out before damage or tank grabs, and with tanks getting enmity buffs and some range extensions on AoE effects, so I think this is a QoL change for Duty support as well as for the rest of us in group content.

  6. Stop touching Astro. We’ve been through enough abuse. Stop making this class easier and easier dumbed down. The fun of this class is the thinking on the go playstyle and having to deal with chances and make the most with what we get. Due to all of the revamps, Astro and BLM felt like the only two that actually require any thinking now, and FF community just continues to kill off the only refuge for those of us who want a challenge.

  7. I never understood their reasoning for just continously buffing classes. Oh this class is OP? Better buff the others. Oh those other classes are better than the previous OP class? Better buff OP class!

The power creep in this game is mind boggling and it trivializes content that they also continue to make easier, lol.

Here's hoping that ashes of creation doesn't turn out to be a flop.

  8. The only issue i see is that with the way frontline is, the PVP changes just make it just rougher for playing something other than tank or melee. Very Surprised that they did not change the "temp fix" where tank and melee are 60% tankier…

  9. So does this mean that Holos is now a proper proactive button and that Physis II (because of Physis Mastery) -> Holos will actually give a pretty decent shield on top of its mitigation? This seems really solid for multiple raid-wide scenarios. This will be great for when you open with Kerachole and there is a second AoE. Holos will heal some of that previous damage, while mitigating AND shielding the next damage wave. The best part being that this is all oGCD, too!
I love that SGE has so many snappy combinations to deal with incoming damage.

  10. So today is my birthday and I celebrated by getting a few things from the mog station: the blazefire Saber the /toast emote and the things I needed to turn my green haired spikey chinned male au ra with a cringe name into a female maqo'te (however you may pronounce it) with a decent name and dark blue hair

  11. Did they do anything to address cheating in CC? Running into people using auto target, auto LB and other stuff in casual mode is why I quit that, regardless of the balance.
As for the job changes, I might actually play DRK more since it's at least getting buffs, but I still miss ShB DRK when I could weave a bunch more things. MCH is just like… why? It was already built to funnel you into getting full battery before you summon your rook/queen, but you had flexibility. Now you're just punished for using it at anything besides full battery. I'm just going to keep this one on the bench after I liked it in ShB and found it underwhelming already in 6.0.
SAM's buffs are great. It always felt weird/weak doing AOE vs ST to me, at least compared to MNK (only melees I have at 90, probably only ones I'll get to 90 too).

  12. This is why I LOVE playing FFXIV. Yoshi-P knows how to buff classes and make the player happy. Blizzard could learn a thing or two 8n this area on how to make players happy instead of how to take away the fun from a player.

  13. I can kind of understand why they'd separate Mirage Dive, but…I am so upset with everyone who wanted it as a separate button. Dragoon has too many buttons as it is, and just adding even a single extra skill is problematic on controller. This change frustrates me.

  14. what I don't understand is why didn't they adjust the ninja and the dragon which are currently extremely powerful rather than having to buff the reaper, especially since he still doesn't go up to their level with this buff, also why are they denying the claims of the machinists for a more massive damage up, the job is in a bad dps state and no one can deny it, and why haven't they made a change on the casters, it's not as if the summoner and the red mage didn't need a slight buff, especially since in RDPS they are well behind the bard and the dancer,
especially since the summoner has mobility and is certainly easy, but I don't understand why he is so low in dps, especially since the red mage has a utility kit that is generally much superior, the phoenix heals overheal 98% of the time, a heal that you can't choose is more flavor than real utility.

  15. SMH then people wonder why Blizzard uttered the now infamous sentence "you think you want it but you don't" why would a main DRG ask for mirage drive to be a separate button from jump/high jump? It never affected me to my rotation, on the contrary.
