  1. As a blackmage main i welcome those buffs because since endwalker it felt less rewarding going through the whole hard caster dps problem in terms of dps, hopefully blm gets rewarded now for playing a harder dps :))

  2. Sad about the removing of the dragoon animation but I can see why it would be. I honestly always forget to cast it on another player. I wish I could click it and it would automatically apply it to the closest target.

  3. No DRK changes.

There’s only 3 quick fixes DRK needs until a major rework:
    TBN mp cost removed.
    Oblation buffed to 15%.
Abyssal drain removed from shared recast with carve like it was in ShB.

TBN is the only defensive that actively punishes the tank for having to use it without it breaking. It costs the same amount as our mp spenders so it is an expectation to get this “free” usage or it’s a dps loss.

Oblation buff because DRK needs a buff to it’s sustain and since we lack healing we need more DR. This will be a minor buff to that and ties into the next change.

With Endwalker, Carve and Abyssal were tied to a shared recast timer for some reason. Carve is our cool down based damage ability and abyssal is an aoe damage ability which also does some minor healing per target hit. This recast timer only really affects the DRK in ST instances where it has to choose between damage and a very minor heal. Uncoupling these two gives the DRK access to a quick 150? Heal every 1 minute…it’s small but it’s better than nothing.

  4. It's insane to me that nothing was done to alleviate WHM's massive MP issues in Savage. Doesn't end there though: Using Lillies at this time is always a DPS loss. There is no scenario in which using Lillies results in a DPS-neutral scenario later on, when using the Misery — I didn't expect them to rework WHM's core design or anything but a simple potency tweak to at the very least make Lillies DPS-neutral would be expected. The reduction of the cast time for Glare also makes it easier to use stuff like Assize but since the Afflatuses remain GCDs, it just effectively means WHM is a bit more mobile. Mobility was never the issue the though, so it feels awkward. Waiting that extra second between a Glare and an Afflatus feels so awkward and clunky.

Even worse, Assize's healing aspect continues to be a background notion; you'll still use it on CD even if it won't heal anyone because it's a DPS loss not to. What irks me is that Pneuma already fixed this problem by having the same potency as the main DPS cast, is a GCD too and it has the same cast time, so you are incentivized to hold it until you need it — and every time it is used, it (ideally anyway) will have full utility.

IMO, at face value, I think WHM's Lillies need some tweaking. Assize should maybe become like Pneuma, have its MP recoup buffed by a decent margin, and the Lillies should have their potencies reduced, have a Regen added to them (like in PvP) and made OGCD, along with Misery (it being a GCD as an excuse to use it for mobility is, again, a non-issue).

  5. I was having an absolute ton of audio lag/stuttering/crackling throughout all of the endwalker MSQ and ended up having to mute the game frequently because it thoroughly ruined a lot of the experience. Weirdly enough it only happened in combat and would lessen in dungeons, but not trials. The only fix I found for it was actually using the immerse spatial audio trial and I have since had to purchase it to keep the audio actually working for the game I'm subscribed to. Overall I kinda wish they never implemented it because I have to make sure to boot it before I start playing and had to pay to get the audio to work.

  6. I couldn't do the main story due to the sound being so bad. I watched other streamers complete theirs to see what the story was about. I was pretty bummed out this was the only way to see it, and I wanted to play. Now everything seems fine, and I'm so excited to experience it myself. Thanks Yoshi-P and the development team! ^^

  7. Yoshida even said he and the devs agreed they were too stingy on BLM and I’m a bit surprised BLM didn’t get a bigger increase tbh. I was expecting fire 4 to revert back to shb potency as well as the old foul and flare way it’s lost potency the more mobs it hit. Flare and foul now loses 50% damage to the next mob while shb was just 25% loss

  8. Cpatians log, Its been day 975 and I'm still waiting for any news on DRK defensive buff….but at thus rate it looks like it will never happen…the men are getting fewer by the day, leaving for reaper and other tanks. We will get to a point where we aren't just the support tank and only one group for dps. End of Captain's log day 975

  9. After suffering that sound lag / stutter since Endwalkers release, this hotfix was very much welcomed and I am overjoyed to say that I can finally enjoy the game with sounds on again!!!!

  10. My audio was SOOOOO bad I had to play with zero sound. I tried every feature and setting and nothing worked. Turned off background music and it created sound to crackle with, it was so bad. I've played in silence for so long now it is nice to be able to have the whole experience back. And I am on PC, no controller so I have no idea what caused it.
