  1. Hey, thanks for the guide, i needed something more visual to understand it, because the written guides on the balance are good, but they assume a lot of things

  2. I've had a lot more luck so far today doing the Reflect starter and just risking the Veneration + Rapid Synth and keeping the craft if I at least hit one of them, only had about 6 fails out of 58 doing them but I'm gonna try the muscle memory opener tomorrow

  3. Thank you so much for the guide. This is my first Ishgardian Restoration and I'm trying to use the Expert Recepies, but I don't have a pentamelded set (just for the requirements), so I don't really know if it is possible to reach the necessary collectability, but hey, I want to try. I was totally lost with these craftings, and the last normal craft doesn't give that many points, sooo. Your guide was really helpful and I will try again with all you have explained in mind. o/ (Really nice voice of yours btw)

  4. There are a couple of mistakes here tbh. The biggest one by far is doing a macro for the opener, the only "set" step is muscle memory first, after that you need to adjust to the following 2 or 3 conditions. If it's malleable use rapid synth straight away, if its Pliant, go for manipulation before veneration, if it's normal, good or anything else, go for veneration. You get 3 chances at the rapid synth under muscle memory, so that is the only thing you need to decide whether or not to cancel the synth is whether or not you manage to get a rapid synth with muscle memory, but should NOT ignore the craft initial conditions with a macro, that will increase the 7400+ quality crafts per hour that you can make. Second mistake, don't try to force a second rapid synth under veneration after you don't have muscle memory, it is NOT worth it 100% (mathematicaly) unless you get a sturdy, your priority should be to get inner up, reason being it is VERY likely you will get 1 to 3 malleable during your craft which will give you the chance to fix progress. And finally, i would disagree about the 3 phases of the craft, i consider there are 4 phases: 1. Opener (Get a rapid synth under muscle memory) 2. Inner stack phase (from 1 to 11 stacks on your buffs) . 3. Quality phase (everything when you get your 11 stacks to when you have 20 durability and 70ish C.P.) 4. Finisher (the usual crafting finisher with byregoat + 1 normal synth) All of these are dependent on your individual control and craftmanship stats of course, but the decisions you need to take during phase 2 and phase 3 are vastly different, for example, if you have less than 11 stacks and you get a pliant AND you have manipulation + waste not I/II up you should 100% use it for preparatory touch, which is more valuable than Innovation. IF however, you are on phase 3 (11+ stacks) it is more valuable to use a pliant on Innovation than preparatory touch if under manipulation and waste not. Other than that, never use Waste Not II over Waste Not I when pliant and under 170ish C.P. There are honestly many more decisions to explain, but is not as simple as you describe in the video.

  5. Thank you but there HAS to be a better opener than this.. mats are getting hella pricey and I just burnt through TEN in a row because the opener had 3 out of 4 fails on Rapid Synthesis. Not that it matters, I'm 277/2902/608

  6. I've never done expert crafts before… and I want that dang mount from the achievements so I was going to work on getting them done this time around. XD

This video was helpful (along with Infectedjohn's comment!)… As I'm new to the whole high-end craft thing (and high-end collectibles)…. Is there a reason why people start with progress instead of quantity first (or at least it seems that way for high-end crafting lol)…?

On "normal" crafts I tend to start with Reflect, as I prefer to work on the quality first, and the progress second…. mostly because I've had more than one mistake of accidentally progressing too far and completing the craft… and having the painstackingly suffering of gathering the items again (this was a couple of years ago, and ever since then I've done quality first, progress second)…. [heavensward crafting…. that sucks. XD ]

Also: Does "Soul of the Crafter" really make any difference for crafting?… I've never really understood how it effects crafting. 😐

I suppose you may have answered some of these things in your first video, so I may have to check that out later. XD

Thank you for this video! 😀

  7. You can force a good in the finisher if you have crafters deliniations (Yellow scrips) and you're on specialist. I think the move is focused observation? Will sometimes be the difference between a failed craft and a successful one.

  11. Hello! This video has been a huge help. The first dozen or so times I watched there was smoke coming out of my ears but after doing some research and trying things out, I went from never having done an ex recipe to getting the Phase 4 achv.

    But…

I was going to attempt getting the flying dino but the amount of time needed seems a bit too harsh, even by endgame standards. I say this bc most endgame aspects of the game take serious time but at my current progress, it's almost inhumane. This suggests to me I'm 'missing' something in the design.

I'm aesthete pentameld. Eating. Crafter's soul. After 100 turn-ins, I hit 50,000 points almost on the nose. I seem to be making 3000-4000 skybld pts per solid hour of crafting with 1-2 full collectability per hour. That puts me at roughly 125-166 hours per crafter. Lolwut!? Some ppl with the mount I talked to said each crafter was about 30hours. I'm looking at potentially over 1000hrs of just crafting without factoring gathering. That…seems extreme. Is there something I'm missing? Should my hourly returns be higher? Thanks to the rng of rapid synth, it seems like half of my resources also go to waste.

Some advice to point me in the right direction would be so much appreciated because it's feeling pretty heavy right now…

  12. Thank you so much for this! Been looking all over for an explanation of this process I could actually understand, and yours was the clearest method I found by far. I'm finally completing these expert crafts with good collectability! Sending a like and subscribe your way 😁
