What new jobs would you like to see in FFXIV?
Defs wanna see a new healer class or tank class! Considering they just released Sage and Reaper my guess is next will be a tank. Would be cool to see a tank based around like the elemental manipulation! Would be cool as hell if your tank just started getting like geo armor or smthn like that and then getting a shirk ability with wind etc.
Wooo new SJ video!!!
Actually yes sage was in final fantasy iii before. Sages are those who have gained knowledge in all schools of arcane arts. They can use all types of spells! so while they share a name ffxiv's sage is different.
Sorry shaman (devout) already exists in ff same with gambler.
Beasts you don't summon persei you release them like Pokémon. And there is a beastmaster character in bozjan front.
Time mage aka in older FFs as chronomages and there is space mage as well.
Lol psychic was in final fantasy x-2
necromancer healer; pull damage off friends–not 'healing' so much as 'reducing daamge that's been applied'–and throw the 'damage' energy at foes. Also pull energy or something from fallen foes before they despawn, create a revenant or ghost as a pet. Rez gets you back at 50% HP, but it's time-limited unless you get healed to max, like the walking dead DRK ability.
dodge/avoidance caster tank, uses dex left-side gear and caster right-side gear, and combat gloves that create magic claws as weapons when drawn.
In no particular order, I would like to see:
Elementalist (Tank)
A support off tank helpful for fights where you only really need one main tank. Channeling the Elements is effectively stance dancing. Fire would increase damage but also increase the amount you take, effectively making you a dps class. Earth would be your tank stance. Water would make you a faux healer, and wind would make you off tank. The Elemental stances would then change what you offer to your party. Fire gives a damage buff to the team, earth reduces damage taken by physical attacks to the party, water increases healing efficacy, wind decreases damage from ranged and magical attacks. A good elementalist would know when to change for a a fight and be able to adapt on the fly for when things go wrong.
Green Mage
Supportive class who does damage, often untyped. Biggest draw for the class is how they debuff the enemy, increasing the damage received, buff their allies by increasing specific stats, and my favorite thing; extending buffs of allies. Can you imagine the convenience of having someone increase your Ley Lines or your Bard DoT's?
Calculator/Arithmetician
A hybrid class who can cast spells and heals with no cast time. The only drawback is knowing numerically where and how potent it will be. Perhaps your most potent attack spell can hit at a shorter distance from the boss, but it runs counter to your best heal which gets weaker the farther away you are from your low HP ally. Perhaps you can choose a math partner and your damage/heals are based around distance there. My goal would be to have something ridiculous like running around the battlefield setting points that somehow would also calculate into your efficacy.
I think they should add an envoker dragon class Kappa
