they may have overused that ascian theme… but it still gives me chill when it shows up during elidibus's speech
I think the QTE in this fight is a response to people constantly complaining that they were too easy in past fights where they were featured. So the devs decided to just give us carpel tunnel for this one fight, all the difficulty was siphoned from past events just for this. "You wanted a hard QTE, here you go."

Watching people who are familiar with FF series do ff14 is the best. It hits different when you understand. A bit surprised you didn't figure out you were Azem tho🤷♂️
Also after Endwalker and patches I really want to hug Elidibus.

I didn't even catch that he used Hallowed Ground on that dragoon lb at the end to become invincible for a few seconds. First I've seen that voice line. XD

Fun fact with this fight since i didn't see anyone mention it. When phase 2 starts and he says, "To me! Warriors of Light!" and they join in some attacks. It's the FF4 cast that comes to his side.
Other folks have mentioned most of the easter eggs in this fight, but the biggest thing I haven't seen mentioned is that including the LBs and aside from the extra FF4 WoLs in the second phase who are already doing job related attacks, Elidibus also uses attacks from all the different mainline jobs in the game (the fight opens with Dark Knight dropping HP to 1, later summons bahamut to cleave one side of the arena after doing red mage for the center triangle AOE. The big black expanding circles are also from DRK, and he does a Dragoon's Eldragon Dive as a raidwide, and ofc the paladin's Hallowed Ground he uses if anyone LBs him outside of him casting something else. I believe the silvery white cone aoes that aren't telegraphed on the ground is for White Mage, and the earthshatter cone aoes is a reference to the Warrior job. In the extreme version, I believe there is a glare effect sometime in the fight to include White Mage as well. LB4 is melee LB2 (bladedance), LB1 is melee LB1 (Braver), LB2 is ranged LB2 (Desperado), and LB3 is black mage LB3 (Meteor))
