Final fantasy isn't easy but you can still queue up blind to raids and clear them with no knowledge or experience in them, and not just base modes. A lot of games are the same way, especially now. But some aren't, and didn't used to be.

I think mop was the xpac I figured out I could pop bubbles with my warriors shattering throw. Once I figured that out my pvp ability and skills went up much higher, and it’s also when a few buddies of mine we would dual with all our toons and practice what abilities countered what classes. And then they started nerfing the abilities and limiting the number of abilities, that’s when I started getting super annoyed

The first anime I ever watched iirc was Escaflowne on Fox Kids because my family didn’t have cable in my house in the late 90s. FFXIV is too hard for WoW players because you don't get to use "addons like DBM and some other shit" to tell that to put your finger into your ass and jump 3 times during boss fights. Most of WoW players are literally clueless if they haven't a watch a video, or two, nor they have common sense . I have all the patience in the world, and I would never kick anyone if they are new, or want to experience blind run, but if you gonna pretend that WoW is harder than FFIXV – it is not. Your addons is carring you, not you, the player. 95% of wow players coming to FFXIV are getting a cold slap into their face because the reality in FFXIV is quite different than WoW.
I often hear complains during dugeon/trials/raids (man, i miss my dbm). Those type of players are doomed to be bad. Imagine being this bad to be dependand from an addon, instead of using your brain for once, or common sense.
That WoW player bitching about FF14's trials being harder likely never actually raided mythic, and simultaneously used DBM or BigWigs religiously rather than learning mechanics himself. Does FF14 have a steep mechanics learning curve? Yes. But after you do enough fights you realize that mechanics are often similar between bosses and it gets easier to know how to resolve them. The biggest difference is you HAVE to pay attention in FF14, and learn what the abilities do for yourself. You don't have some addon literally telling you what to do every step of the fight.
