  1. I feel no remorse for the numerous markets I've crashed, undercut me by half and I have no regrets for crashing the price to spite whoever did it. I dont post stuff with small profit margins anymore, I always leave myself room on the ROI to completely crater the market.

  2. I'm new to crafting. I just set my price about average when I look at what it's selling for. I have stuff thats been up for a month bc everyone undercuts it every chance they get but I haven't lowered the price. Set it and forget it lol

  3. The easiest and most efficient way to make millions is still possible and nothing has changed to stop it, just use bots. So long as you pay your subs SE don't care and neither does the wider community, bots have become just as much part of the community as every real player. I did some looking and realized the wider community has grown to accept this infestation and SE gets paid so they don't care. Therefore it seems to me that bots are all but endorsed and you seem very happy about the results saying "with material prices so low…", and without those bots you'd be forced to pay a reasonable price for those mats or have to go get them yourself and NOONE wants that. So again, just use bots you'll never have to worry about gil again.

/partially sarcastic partially cynical because everyone just ignores this massive issue, especially content creators and SE.

    .

If you ever have too much gil and just want to throw some away, invest in becoming a gatherer, you'll NEVER see a return on your investment because of the bots.

  4. When I craft in bulk, I list it for a sensible price. In most cases that's one gil below the lowest competing item, though if there is an outlier or two that are severely underpriced I'll just buy those first. As long as my items are selling, all is well.

But then there are times when someone undercuts ME by one, and either lists multiple at that price or keeps listing them and stopping mine from selling. At which point it's time to crash the market, scorch the earth and make them wish they never took up crafting in the first place 🙂

  5. I believe they should make star crafts like expert crafts so people don't rely on single to two button macros., i believe this will improve market board situation, the crafts are too easily attainable so ppl don't care about making 5k-20k gil compare to the 80k-200k+ gil they could be making if they weren't able to flood the market with their items. That being said about flooding the market with your items, some ppl mindlessly put about 20 of the same items and expect not to get undercutted. Have you never heard of "don't keep your eggs all in one basket?" Before lol

  6. making villain's out of people who want to make a profit and not take too much gil from the buyers really rings strange. I mean you do realize it sounds like being inside some oil company trying to maximize profits, right?

  7. I worked my ass for 6.1 patch, followed all the guides, gathered all the mats, penta melded, got up early on patch day to get my millions that I had been promised. The market had immediately been crashed and wasn’t even a fracture what was predicted. All the time and effort was completely wasted, it was incredibly deflated. So now, the new motto: I will gather and prepare just enough to make all of my own gear that will be needed. I am not going to waste my time when so many people think that an item selling for 100k+ routinely is just as good selling for less than 25k routinely. Just have your retainers spam Sea Swallow skin and sell them in bulk daily

  8. "Sometimes people need to be taught a lesson"
And the lesson you are talking about is that if they put things on the MB for unreasonably low prices it sells quickly?
You just do what they want this way XD

Also last time I did that this person just put up 10 more of that Item for this ridiculously low price. I literally just encouraged them to keep going.

  9. End game gear crafting only makes pennies in game. Money is made off treasure hunts, gathered materials, materia, and some pre-made HQ intermediate materials. Way earlier in the day, you can make good gil with the daily GC deliveries, and waaaay early on Friday, with Gold Saucer's Fashion Report items.

  10. Ff14 economy is a open market, and a lot of ppl forget that it means pvp but for crafters, and your weapon of combat is undercutting just like real life, and nobody will ever play fair that’s just unrealistic of human nature – you want fair trade, get a regulated market like black desert’s or trade peer to peer as terrible as that sounds its about as fair as its going to be in ff. And no I dont use the market board I just sell everything to the npcs or the grand company because I refuse to touch commercial pvp not worth it.

  11. Great choice of StarCraft music in the beginning. Damn StarCraft 1 and 2 were great games.

Remembering old Blizzard makes me sad. I try to be happy that it ever existed instead of being sad it’s gone, I sometimes succeed

  12. The value of “shinies” has been shot bad for a week or two. If you’re lowering a glamor item below the value of the scale, or the feather, or whatever…. If you’re lowering an item that should fetch 100-400k to less than 10k. Just fucking stop. I’ve stopped competing and just started sitting on things until people give up.

The sad thing about that is, if the market is literally saturated with certain glamour items, no one will want them if everyone has them.

  13. Im petty and im not sorry for markets crashing. I always adjust the price and copy the lowest price or the most sensible price but if people continue to undercut by 1 and shii im not afraid to undercut by 1000

  14. Making gil via market is as horrible as housing. The more time you invest into crafting or gathering something to sell — the less efficient that time investment will be, because you'll need to check/edit your prices every 10 minutes or risk selling something once in a week. Why? There are always undercutting bots or psychos, who pay their subscription just to camp retainer bell 24/7.
