  1. (I'm sorry I'm using Google Translate)

Thank you for adding the Japanese translation!

I don't understand English, so I'm very happy to have a translation.

  2. About the PVP thing, its not a shocker its dead as a Dodo, its not interesting, you get different toolkits, gear does not matter, every class has the same HP, its basically boring as it gets. So no wonder people avoid it like a plague. If they maybe put some love into it, it might be more popular. For now its left on the side of the road dying like : Companions (Chocobos), Great company Ranks, Great companies in general, Squadrons, and the list goes on.

  3. The mention of Yoshi P citing Yasumi Matsuno as the reason he got into video game development is always a touching piece of trivia. For those that don't know, Matsuno made Tactics Ogre (one of Yoshida's favorite games ever) then went on to work on Final Fantasy Tactics. Yoshi eventually got to work together with his hero, Matsuno, when they did the "Return to Ivalice" story and raid content, which IMO is the greatest raid content in MMO history.

  4. Square Enix ( a foreign company) helped fund domestic terrorism in America by donating 250k to the domestic terrorist organization blm. Their assets in the US should be confiscated.

  6. Seeing Yoshi P be so dedicated is so damn refreshing.
No cryptically avoiding questions, openly having deep discussions.
It makes me trust him, and it makes me feel like I won’t regret becoming invested in the world he has created.

  7. I mainly play healers and I am really excited for all the changes to AST and WHM, I am sad they removed our sects but I can also understand why. However, the artifact gear for astrologian feels fairly lackluster compared to the other 3.

  8. I remember seeing that translator when Stormblood was being announced and she fumbled so much. My friends and I were all "oh that poor lady lost her job, huh?"

Little did we know. She would merely turn God Mode.

  9. FYI, the healer issue people keep bringing up is that their DPS "rotation" is a one button spam, which is an issue because healers typically have a lot of dead time where they have nothing to do but to DPS. (Like 90% of their GCD might be spent on DPS.)

This doesn't happen in WoW because unavoidable damage is less bursty but more sustained (ie: those "deals X fire damage every Y seconds over Z seconds"), and all heals and damage spells are on the GCD so healers need to cast quite a bit more healing spells than their FF counterparts to keep the raid alive. TBH I think WoW's healing and tanking (mostly because of active mitigation and various tank masteries) is a lot more refined than FFXIV. For DPS on the other hand, I think FFXIV wins easily.

  10. This event cemented in me the facts that this game and it's creators are amazing and that earning the respect of the players is completely deserved; and is also a reason while I'll be staying for a long time…
