  1. Stormblood has definitely had of my least favorite writing so far but Gosetsu was great. They ruined Yugiri and Lyse for me but I am just finishing up the 2nd half of the peaks so maybe they have hope to redeem themselves. Super cute Cirina bows do heal a lot of hurts though.

  2. Yotsuyu is another awesome well written character by SE. At first you're like: dude such an evil biatch, brutal & no mercy. Will be so glad to kill and finish her off. Then when story goes on you learn about her past and actually can feel with her, understand what drove her to her path. Although this does not excuse her being that cruel to her own people, it makes her not only a 1dimensional evil person, but a complex character who happend to be in the wrong time in a wrong family, and as result became evil.
5 stars, really well done SE & the entire FFXIV team!

  3. As cruel as Yotsuyu was, her behavior is understandable when all her life she knew nothing but cruelty, abuse and exploitation. It's only natural that she find pleasure being the one to actually see people suffer. In some cases, Yotsuyu exists as a reminder of some of Doma's flaws in it's culture and society and for Hien to know what he must do so that the new Doma would be better than before.

  4. 3:10 Yotsuyu is saying she felt joy at watching Domans be broken and bleeding on the ground after spending her life being abused by her family, her drunk of a husband, and being sold against her will to a brothel.

After all of that pain and suffering the only thing that brought her joy was seeing the people who did nothing but watch her suffering, or worse participate in it, suffer even more.

She's 100% still a villain, but she wasn't born that way. She was twisted and broken by Doma and it's people.
