  1. Ngl, before Jesse explained who they were, I thought Organization XIII invaded the world of FF XIV.

Also, for real. I would love more scripted content like this! Jesse has such a fun energetic voice and it's hard not to get invested in the stuff he talks about, even if I have no idea what he is talking about. I wanna hear him talk about stuff he's passionate about more often

  2. It just gets me going bro! I'm remembering that scene where Lahabrea and Elidibus are talking and Laha says something to the effect of "All is going according to my will!" Followed up by Elidibus saying "….his will"( meaning zodiark) so..Who knows maybe the emperor from ff2 will show up if memory serves he was also split and had something to do with Mateus.

  3. Wife and I had a few interesting theories-
One, was that we know โ€œourโ€ lahabrea was the โ€œweakestโ€ of the unsundered, the others explain it is due to his body hopping, but what if its ACTUALLY because he self-sundered in pandemonium so hes a 50/50 sunder instead of a 1/14th sunder like the rest.
The other theory we had, is what if โ€œourโ€ lahabrea that does crazy bull, laughs maniacally, etc. Is the Hephestaus half and โ€œoldโ€ lahabrea is trapped in the crystal due to machinations. Semi random, but a thing that catches me is that the red lahabrea crystal that hephestaus is sealed in is fandaniel-red. It could be entirely possible that in his shady experiments, amon-fandaniel did something to lahabrea in asyz la, and on getting him back theyโ€™re like โ€œyay we have lahabrea backโ€ but hephaestus just cackles maniacally and goes โ€œyes! I, lahabrea, will do evil stuff now to merge all the souls into one soul so i can have athena, i mean zodiark!โ€

  4. The dread beast Pandaemonium , lurking beneath the surface of the planet for Eons, whose true nature we only gleaned via our travels in time.
Lavos believers, it is our time.

  5. I've kinda dig this theory not gonna lie. Athena being the Lahabrea we fought all this time might be a interesting twist indeed. And it wouldn't even be this farfetched as Lahabrea is the title.

  6. Isn't it wacky that all of this talk of ascension to godhood is happening during the same expansion that we've started meeting our actual gods over in the 24 man raids? Almost like they might end up tying all of this together or something. Wild.

  7. I dunno but Lahabrea went from Hephaistos looking like father Nier to a hot grey fox and any sane person would never leave those looks behind hopping from vessel to vessel.

  8. One thing I'm certain they'll address is why the Ascians are immortal. The ancients, powerful though they are, appear to die properly if they are struck down. There's no world where Athena's research isn't related, and there's a solid chance it will relate to why the 3 ascians survived the sundering.

  9. You didn't even mentioned the weird EYE that shows up in the last boss room ๐Ÿ˜€ (Zepla' has a short clip on it )

I fully agree that Erik is a clone of lahabread created by Athena.
Who was OUR Laha, however….jury's still out ๐Ÿ˜€ can't wait to see

  10. So, Spoilers for Endwalker below.

I think one of the more interesting parts is the implications this has for other parts of the lore, as FFXIV has a habit of dropping lore implications for one plotline hidden away in another.

If the Asians, in particular the convocation, could move souls or pieces of souls into the bodies of familiars could all the Convocation baring Azem and Hermes (whos familiar had a different path) have put a part of themselves into their familiars who then became Eozea's Twelve? Is that why they don't normally interfere with the Asians and only act after the threat of the Final Days have passed?

  11. FF XIV's plotlines are always amazing, and the characters (at least the bigger ones) are often memorable. I mean, just look at Emet-Selch. He starts off as a vilain we can only hate, but throughout two expansions, he becomes a fan favorite, not because he's a vilain, but because he grows on you so freaking fast… And his destiny gets all the mode impactfull for it.

  12. Great video Jesse. I do have one question I canโ€™t reconcile. Once Athena and Lahabrea soul meld, wouldnโ€™t Lahabrea become fully aware of everything Athena had planned and done? There shouldnโ€™t be any secrets left between the two. So Lahabrea should have known about the second Hephaestus body, her plans for the future, etc.

  13. A thought popped into my head after watching this. What if Athena's research ultimately led to the idea for the Rejoining? We dont really have any explaination as to where or how they could have come up with that as their "for sure" idea as a plan over millennia

  14. They wouldn't have named the raid Pandemonium without a direct reference to FF2, it would be an awful shame not to include the King/Emperor of Hell as a boss in the final wing (with music). Also expecting a reference to Garland from FF9 (which is highly relevant to artificial beings and soul infusion and Pandemonium (which was also a reference to FF2 in that game))

  15. All of this speculation is reasonable but I disagree on one thing.

We donโ€™t know that the younger one is not our Lahabrea. All thatโ€™s needed is for his father to die/retire, for the son to take his fathers position and then abuse the research he finds from Athena(either her soul or even just some handwritten notes).

The Final Days are coming, desperate times, desperate measures and suddenly he is on the road to body surfing and becoming the brain broken, megalomaniacal madman we know today.

  16. I feel like there is something we all might be forgetting about when it comes to Lahabrea, his literal mask shown in the flashback and the promotional art for Pandรฆmonium is torn in half and don't see if his whole mask is on with the older looking Lahabrea. From arr to hw his mask was fully completed, at some point after the story of the second raid tier to the end of days. Either he willingly thought or persuaded to bring his other half back in but Hephaistos and/or Athena took more control than he thought to turn out like this. Did he think he had the will power to fully control the madness of his other half or something around that and failed or are the two minds constantly fighting to cause current Lahabrea? Who knows at this point but theory craft.
