  1. Lucy Pyre is like that ex-girlfriend you never want to bring up with you current relationship because of how cringe it was to replace her diapers every night.

  2. I don't mind the 1 button spam for dpsing as a healer, because it allows me to focus on the fight mechanics and raid lead my group. If you want a challenge for healer, then maybe try solo healing the fight. For that increased difficulty. The healing style I think is fine for the healers because they are focusing on mana management, cooldown management, maybe watching to see who may need a rescue etc. If you want something more complex then maybe it is best to go dps then.

  3. I remember dying this week at the beginning of a dungeon boss on accident, and instead of resetting the drk keeps on going with the team, boss has like 85% still. So as I watch the dps die I just leave to do a hunt train instead. I'm not waiting 15 or more minutes just for you to die cause your not a tank with enough sustain to solo that. Even then, I'm not staying around either for any tank to do a "I need a hero" 80's montage when the boss has that much health left.

  4. I'd say that if they want to address healers. They may want to think of how Healers should interact with the party moving forward.

As of right now. If I recall correctly, healers job gauges rarely exert pressure or interact with pretty much the rest of the kit unless its healing.

Gameplay doesn't have to be more buttons to press to be interactive tbh. That's kind of a misconception. More button pressing doesn't mean engaging.

Astro being a prime example of that. You have a lot of oh shit buttons to press but that doesnt make it engaging. The most interactive part of Astro is the cards and its on a timer.

I'd say that the healers more or less needs a bit more interactivity with their healing and damage to make it more concise. As of now, currently, the concept of Afflatus Misery is a cool one.

But if only healers can build up on it consistently in such a way that they actually have to meet a condition to get the dps. It doesn't have to be extra buttons either. Like how Sage wants their shields to break.

Simple things and conditions that reward the healer with more things in their kit goes a long way. Like how Essential Dignity is incredibly potent when you hold it long enough.

And how Astro's dps bonus is 6% when right and 3% when its not. If not in the damaging standpoint.

The other way they can really make healer more engaging is to make it so that you're rewarded for meeting certain conditions. Not spam 3 lilies and get a boomstick every 1.5 minutes.

  5. Desperius, I really recommend that you watch Sarixis's videos on FFXIV's healers. He's a small YouTuber, but his videos on the healer are wonderful and gives a great explanation on how to improve the healer jobs without doing a major rework. Again, I really recommend that you give it a watch and post a reaction video if you want. Sarixis is a good content creator.

  7. What really frustrates me is the lack of variety. I understand wanting to keep some healers accessible and easy to pick up for a newbie. WHM perfectly fits the basic bitch cleric archetype you find in any party based fantasy game, let that be the entry level healer. But I really don't understand how SGE ended up as another 1 button Andy.

  8. I'm completely fine with a DoT, one Single- and one AOE-Spell. I really don't need or want any more mandatory DPS rotation BS. … If they ever make DPS more complicated, I literally have to quit the game, because there wouldn't be a class anymore I have fun playing. XD

  9. Hi! Really happy to see your reaction to this video. I used to be exclusively a healer player and started playing back during the dawn of ARR, and seeing how the healers have changed from specifically Shadowbringers and Endwalker breaks my heart because I used to love the role. I miss having Miasma and Shadowflare as a SCH. I miss the AST's cards being unique. I have healed as a SGE in Savage, who keep in mind actually has a 3rd DPS button, and I quite literally cast Dosis III around 160 times in a clear. I think healers deserve to have gameplay on the same level as Tanks if we're going to have so little damage as we do now. AST has always been more simple on its DPS because of card management, and that's fine, especially for people who want a healer that focuses less on DPS and more on support, but SGE should feel more like GNB. Give me healer continuation. Give me something to do.

It feels like every time we speak up about the issues with healing, our pleas get ignored. It would be so helpful to us if more content creators spoke up about these issues, so the awareness you help bring to this topic is incredibly helpful. Thank you.

  10. There is nothing SE can do that will stop the pitchfork mob from complaining. They absolutely will NOT shut up until a DPS job can enjoy the benefits tanks and healers get as well.
Stop being part of the echo chamber and read between the lines. Healing is staying exactly as it is. Don't like it? Play something else.

  11. The one button spam definitely is a risk to mouse keybinds. I managed to ruin the mousebutton on a brand new Steelseries rival 500, that i had bought at the start of Shadowbringers ,by the time my static cleared e4s.

  13. just want to say Sorry to all the Healers that get me in their groups. i'm a sprout playing FF14 for the first time and I know i suck but I am trying to get better. i just got level 70 but every dungeon and raid is new to me. I do try to watch a video before going in but it's still a lot to remember having never done it and trying to learn all the mechanics in One try.

  14. Since I know that they're never going to give healers proper DPS rotations, my idea is for SE to change many of the healing buttons into buttons that both heal and do damage at the same time. There are already several examples of this in the game but they can definitely go further with the idea. Since the damage profile in the game seems to be designed around people just taking massive chunks of damage at once then I can understand why a 1-2-3 damage rotation wouldn't be the best idea but there's got to be a way that they can combine the idea of healing and doing damage together in a more fluid manner that's more satisfying to players. OR, they could just say "f*ck it" and give healers some additional OGCD attacks that they can use to spice up their damage flow every 30-60 seconds. That way healers of all levels can continue to heal the exact same but have more choices for what to do in between just spamming their main attacking spell.

  15. If you make healers have more dps buttons, we are gonna get more toxic healers that won’t heal. And there will also be less healers overall because it will be too stressful and complicated

  16. I kinda wish they'd give us healers more to heal, not more buttons to deal damage… Lower boss HP, higher raid damage maybe, idk… But I picked a healer to heal and FF really feels bad in this regard

  17. I miss all of sch DoTs back in sb. You can have 3 Dots and a bane to spread. It was so fun to do. Still salty all of those cool animations got replaced by you just touching the ground and a circle appears.
