  1. Actualy , there is some sort of following for two parts of this song, The first one, called Tomorrow and Tomorrow follow that lyrical song. and the second one, the battle one Called Invicible.
Basicaly this tract is a composition of three : Tomorrow and Tomorrow first , then Who Brings Shadow , then Eternal winds, then returning to Who Brings Shadow.

It's a superb mach up for that Cinematic ost.

  2. Niiiiiiiice final fantasy XIV I love this game so much, please you need to react to final fantasy XIV's "Answers" song, if not only the song, the cinematic too "a realm reborn end of an era" , it's incredible probably my favorite cinematic.

  3. I played through all of FF14 in a little under 2 months not too long ago. I liked ARR & HW (free trial content) a lot thus I bought the game. And yes it's like everyone always says, it gets even better!

  4. You should check out anything from the final fantasy pixel remasters! Uematsu came out of retirement and was given a full orchestra to give his true vision, unburdened by technological restraints, of the iconic classic soundtracks of ff 1-6

  5. Ahh, man, sad to hear you got filtered by ARR. Unfortunately the base game is kinda… well, it's dogshit, but god, if you ever get past that, you'd very quickly see how the game made such a strong comeback and is so loved by many these days.
Also, sadly, making a trial with the most current content in the game is actually impossible. It's not really your usual MMORPG where it's all about the endgame content and the setting while the actual narrative is kinda throwaway, instead both FF MMOs have had pretty strong linear storylines, very in line with the rest of the series, and you would have to go through all of the story like you were playing an RPG (you know, the other half of the acronym that's supposed to be there for a reason). This would be like, I dunno, getting a series of books and starting with the very last one with no context from previous events in the story, or picking up a show and starting with the last season. The trial does, however, include the first expansion, and the jump in quality from ARR to Heavensward is IMMENSE. Once again, though, you'd still have to stomach ARR to get to it.

Side note to whoever suggested the track: who the hell thought it would be a good idea to put up someone's random montage of the very end of the story, full of spoilers, instead of, I dunno, the trailer that contains this same music and is kinda made to go along with it?

  6. the ff14 sountrack, shadwobrings in particular is so good. the main theme, the long fall (the twinning), to the edge, just…so many good songs. easy to listen to. a lot of them play into one another. toward the end of the expansion, songs start to blend. it's great.

  7. you're right about the core game being not 'as good' as the current expansions. i wish they would clean that up more. revoice, compact some of the storytelling, remove a little fetch. it would help a ton because the first expansion (many hours in) heavensward is SO GOOD but you have to slog through launch material which is hard for folks, and it's unreasonable to ask people to play 30+ hours they don't enjoy for it to get good.

  8. To anyone who liked this song, I'd encourage you to jump into the FFXIV soundtrack as a whole. Even the ambient songs are phenomenal. There's also a ton of official remix albums (Scions & Sinners, Pulse & more) that are equally as amazing. Here's a couple of tracks I can recommend (though note, many of the videos contain spoilers, so if you plan to play, don't actually watch the videos, just listen).

NOTE: Tracks separated with "/" are essentially all parts of the same scenario, usually a boss fight. They are different tracks, but designed to trigger during different phases, so I recommend listening to them one after the other:

    • Dragonsong

    • Answers (End of an Era/Reprise Version)

    • Heavensward

    • Crimson Sunset

    • Neath Dark Waters

    • Fallen Angel

    • Thunder Rolls

    • Thunder Rolls (Eden Ramuh Version)

    • Thunder Rolls (Pulse Remix)

    • Locus

    • Rise

    • Rise (Pulse Remix)

    • Endwalker (Short Theme – the full version hasn't been released yet)

    • A Long Fall (PRIMALS Version)

    • To The Edge

    • Sunrise

    • Sunrise (Pulse Remix)

    • Equilibrium

    • Unbending Steel

    • What Angels Wake Me

    • Footsteps in the Snow/Oblivion

    • Return to Oblivion

    • Torn from the Heavens

    • Shadows Withal

    • The Queen Awakens

    • Thordan's Reign

    • Moebius (Orchestral Version)

    • Triumph

    • Civilizations

    • Nightbloom/Lunacy/Wayward Daughter

    • Insanity

    • Insatiable

There's a lot more, but those listed constitute some of my absolute favourites.

  9. When do you play the trial? last year they updated the trial so it goes up to Heavensward, which easily 100 hours of gameplay. Its probably the best free trial for subscription base mmorpg

  10. Day 17 of requesting House of Sacred Remains from Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. Beautifully atmospheric level track and one of my fave's from video games in general. It'd be awesome to hear what you think of it.

  11. I love your videos!

I think you should react to some songs from Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross.

Comes to mind Time’s Scar from Chrono Cross. I Love this song.

or Frog’s theme from Chrono Trigger, or any other, most are short themes.

  12. Maybe I should play FFXIV, i stoped at FFX because I kind of had more interesting games to play and I heard that is not very good. But this ost is awesome. Well, is no surprise in the end, Final Fantasy always had good ost.

  13. God damn, try a spoiler tag next time bro. It's really on the person who submitted the song, though. Why they wouldn't just send you the official trailer that features the same song instead of some fanmade vid with literal end game spoilers is beyond me.

  14. I'd say your interpretation about the lyrics is mostly accurate, though you would admittedly need more context to understand the full meaning behind them. The other parts of the lyrics also have meaning behind them as well, I'm actually a bit surprised that you didn't delve on those. Also, a fun little fact: the string section is a remix of a track from FF4 called Eternal Wind, so you're not wrong about it being like a Final Fantasy song.

  15. While I am happy you're reacting to this song, I think you should have used a video with no scenes from the game as this was very spoilery for people who haven't played Shadowbringers.

  16. Yeah as others have said the accompanying video has spoilers for the most recent FFXIV expansion. Just starting the new expansion would give you enough context for this to be spoilers. The Shadowbringers trailer would've been better in that context than this, its the same song so it would sync perfectly. I don't know if you can re-edit with that b-roll, or put a disclaimer in, but that would be helpful.

  17. You could interpret the world itself as an entity and rain being its tears. Thinking of a place like Burmecia of FF9, which is a city of eternal rain, maybe something could have happened in the lore of the place where the world itself would grieve and weep eternally over the event. I wouldn't put it past JRPGs to have that kind of lore.

  18. The lyrics unfortunately are not completely understood unless you have the context from the story. FFXIV dev team works together to craft an entire picture, so seeing one part of the piece, the music, won't give you the whole picture. The story team, visual team, and music team all work together to piece together the whole game. I mean they will adjust the score by 1 sec to line up with the cutscene and the action happening on the screen all the time. The music is like the icing on a cake looks pretty but is only 1 piece of the cake.
