I've never been so early to a video, but great stuff, especially for newer players or casual players getting into more serious endgame content! Keep up the great work! <3
That little slide casting tip about an emote on the hotbar was neat.
I know all of these. OMG, that means i'm a FFXIV boomer! ;w; Good video like always tho!
This was great, didn't even feel like 10 minutes, awesome stuff, never knew about the Max Melee thingy
There probably needs to be a guide to the terms that aren't battle/fight related, but that folks will see anyway. Every MMO has its own slang, after all, stuff like
Bio/bio break: a break for toilet, getting drinks/snacks, other biological needs. My small group of WoW refugees (who came over shortly after ARR released) used these and confused the heck out of FFXIV friends. I've seen it getting used a lot more since the big WoW exodus last year.
gg: "good game".
o/ = wave/hello
o7 = salute
A lot of these make sense, the ones I hate are like dynamo and chariot because they communicate nothing about the AOE. I thought chariot was the donut AOE cause maybe that's the general shape a chariot does if it spun around and hit everything on its side, it'd leave a whole open in the middle where it can't hit due to how it would turn… but nope that's not it, that's a dynamo, chariot is the standard circle AOE around boss.
Kitchen Sinking is something I have had to do when I get picked for a TB as a DPS or healer and hope for the best
This was a solid video and I learned some useful stuff here. I'll admit I was hesitant due to the title and thumbnail, since I thought this stuff might not actually be relevant to new players, but this was probably one of the clearest and most efficient videos I've seen on this sort of thing.
It's about to become a tradition where we seek Azzie's cute "BUT(T)!" within the videos. Good video with fun features involved. Keep up the good work 👏
Hey azurite I've always been interested. Do you use a normal keyboard and mouse. Or do you have anything else specifically like a mmo mouse and a keypad?
Thanks Explainingway
Just want to say I really love the aesthetic of the demonic horns on the Xaela that even I started using it on mine when I fantasia into a nhamma recently.
Wtf One person says Support and everybody runs with it. As a main Tank we are not Support, and we hate being called that..T/H is just fine like it use to be..Btw good Vid
Wtf did you just say? I'm mote confuse than before I saw this.
You'd think most savage and ultimate raiders know these concepts like the back of their hands. 💀💀💀
Love this!! If you’re making a series, how about various terms used for attack names? Towers, meteors, exoflares, limit cut, hot wings, etc … took me forever to learn some of these (and tbh I’m still not sure I know exoflare 🙃)
Also with max melee, it also affects your Autos, (Tanks and Melee Dps) you will stop autoing the target at max melee, but you're able to use abilities still, so only really go max melee if a mechanic requires it, as autos still matter
FFXIV Boomers assemble!
