Clutching as a Tank in FFXIV, Limit Break & Utility (FFXIV University)

Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker. Going over some creative ways we can clutch up as a tank in FFXIV, including our tank lb usage and utility tools at our disposal. This video will be more of a lecture format with not much in the form of example footage, as getting example footage for what I’m talking about isn’t exactly something I can just record out of nowhere, so treat the footage as just background footage.

  1. I don't see tank lb often (still too green for extreme content) so it was very informative to know how it can be used.
Quick question – if there any indicator to know if enemy's cast can be interrupted by stun or other skills? Or it's always a trial by fire – you kick and hope for the best?
On a side note, gunbreaker playstyle looks fun~

  3. i actually use intervention and passage as normal mitigation rotation. Intervention when your co-tank is getting a tankbuster and not at full health. Passage whenever you are getting a raidwide and the party sticks together. Just flash it like you do with sheltron, the buff lasts 5 seconds.

  4. PvP might not be your thing, but there’s a lot to learn being a tank in PvP. It can teach you reaction tactics naturally you can carry with you elsewhere. I’ve just finished my 5th PvP armour set, invaluable experience. The armour sets are a nice incentive to encourage people.
