  1. The last spirit, Ardbert saying, Lets finish this just made me break down and cry. I liked this game so much I am thinking to start a whole new toon just so I can play through it again. Looking at a book in some inn just isn't the same.

  2. This will stay on loop for a while. Best story in a game, I have ever played. I've walked away from this experience looking at life in a new light. I hope it helps me be a better person overall. What a journey. I keep riding waves of elation. What an experience. Thank you to the entire FFXIV team.

  3. I don't think I've been so emotional playing through anything until this expansion (and I thought I was bad in shb lmao). I went through so many tissues.. It broke me.. 😭

  4. They really nailed it with this area. It felt like standing at the end of the universe, at the end of everything you know. The ruins of civilizations, with yours to join them, even if not now, at some point in the future… This graveyard, we will all return here.

  6. This expansion is such an experience… an emotional one at that. I cannot recount the amount of times I've shed tears of sadness and joy.
But that's what made it so special, personally. It turned out a masterpiece. I am so grateful to the team and everyone who put their hearts into this.

…Don't even get me started on the godly soundtracks.

  7. This broke my heart.. the story of the expansion is fantastic and all but that walk made me realize the journey of the past 7 years I spend playing this game. Thank you for an amazing experience something I will hold on forever….

Thanks, devs! The journey was good. It was worthwhile, every single second.
This life given to us was a gift, not a burden. Your passion and love filled us with fullfilement. ♥

  9. Be it watching my waifu [Y'shtola gang rise up] or bawling my eyes out after being in a state of denial as I trek up that crystal path made by G'raha, Ultima Thule was the perfect send off to the Zodiark & Hydaelyn saga.

  10. This was hell of a journey we had, and here we are. I have cried so much with this soundtrack, I couldn't walk up there at first then I finally made it and I am still amazed, the friends I earned thanks to this game are truly amazing people, what a wonderful story, a true masterpiece. Thank you, thank you for everything team.

"Yet miracles do happen. So let us pray and will our friends home" – Beq Lugg
"I won't stop praying till I know they are safe" – Ryne

The three that hit hardest for me here…given how they can apply here.

  12. The Story of this Game was Always secondary for me in FFXIV. I Liked it but i was more on doing the Other comtent Like raids and Stuff. And even I almost shed a Tear at this Moment

  13. This verse really gets me:

Rises on a memory borne from the ashes

    With the heavens

True sunset, blood-red skies tranquil after the storm

    Blеssed shadow

It references each expansion in sequence

  14. I will never forget this scene, as long as I live. I'm 35-years-old. I was crying buckets and even now, as I replay this video and recall the scene, there are tears coming to my eyes. I can remember every single one of those voices. With each one came more tears. I almost dropped my controller, I couldn't move forward. These characters are fictional but they feel as real as you and I. Haurchefant, Moenbryda, Papalymo, Minfilia, Ardbert and even former enemies like Elidibus, Lahabrea, Emet-Selch …and Venat. We will never forget.
