Class changing with /SNAP! [FFXIV]

Silly video. I was gifted /snap so I figured I’d show how to make it be used when you class change in one macro! πŸ˜€

  1. I found following up the /snap with one of the ranger poses removes the awkwardness of your arm suddenly lowering with job change as the ranger pose animation isn't interrupted by the job change, so it adds more flair (especially with multiple ranger poses in a row) and looks more natural at the same time.
…Only issue is it now takes me around 8 seconds to change jobs instead of 1, but you know, it looks cooler.

  2. I was quite shocked to see how "macro illiterate" most of the community is in FFXIV, coming from WoW 7 months ago.
None of the macros I've seen online so far, take into consideration variable latency, melding for skill/spell speed based on said latency, GCD, oGCD and the server tick AT THE SAME TIME (yes, all 5 in 1 macro).
It sucks when the macro skips a line because of a 10ms latency and you have to compensate with more speed melds.
    Needs more theorycrafting…

  3. You can just do "/wait 1" and you'll still get the same result
In addition, you can use "/snap motion" so that your actions don't constantly spam the chat log, without having to turn the display log message in your emotes off.

  4. /snap <wait.1.6>
    /gearset equip 3 <wait.0.5>
    /macroicon 3 gearset
    /examineself
    or
    /snap <wait.1.6>
    /gearset equip 1 <wait.0.5>
    /macroicon 1 gearset
    /welcome
    or
    /snap <wait.0.6>
    /shutdown
last is to disconnet from the game
