Changing Jobs Already? | WoW Player Tries Out Final Fantasy XIV For The First Time | Episode 2

  1. You can earn gear from completing quests, usually. Try doing some of the side quests in limsa (the ones that are yellow, rather than blue), and it'll help you flesh out your gear options.

  2. At level 15 you can do the Hall of Novice. That will provide you with a great set of gear for a level 15 character and a ring that boosts your exp by 30%. You can do that for any role and get gear for that role, and if you throw the gear away and decide later to level up an alt, you can just do the hall of novice again to get whatever gear you need.

To activate that, go to the Inn and talk to The Smith (The dude with the big green sign). Again, you'll need to be level 15 before you can do it and it does a great job of teaching you how to play your role in a dungeon

  3. Instead of adding gear manually you can save and equip the best gear you have with one button in your character screen when you hit C. This is kinda the same thing as the add on Mr. Robot.

Super helpful for new players as you can equip your daggers. Hit the add best gear and then save it as a template so you can switch classes with the click of a button.

  4. Hiya Sprout 🌱 just a heads up you don't have to do all the side quests. Completing the MSQ will level you up right away. The hunt log is helpful too. The quest markers that are blue with the + sign will unlock things like dungeons and features.
