I never get tired of seeing how welcoming the FF XIV community is for new players (particularly streamers). We may seem overbearing at first, but that's only because we genuinely want you to enjoy your time in Eorzea, so if it ever gets to be too much, just say so and the vast majority of people will immediately back off. The vast majority of the community is very friendly and all too happy to help people out either directly or by offering advice. I'm one of them. And if for whatever reason I can't help you out personally, I will at least try to help find someone who can help. 🙂

the first thing anyone should ever do when playing FF14 is turn off player and minion names. like keep them on for friends and Free Company members, but you dont need to see everyone else, its just overwhelming XD p.s. Welcome to Eorzea!

Ffxiv are so embarrassing sometimes man. They do this for every streamer and 90% stop playing before heavensward. This mf doesn't even like long cutscenes and you think hes gonna keep playing.
To my knowledge CDawgVA plays video games solely for the gameplay. FF14 is a story heavy game that drags in the beginning, so I look forward to seeing him suffer while being baffled, maybe he might spit a Welsh word or two. XD This welcoming does not seem too bad for him though.
