I hope this doesn’t have any repercussions later down the line.

New season means a new description for this Final Fantasy XIV gameplay series wow haha. FFXIV gameplay or FF14 gameplay even. A FFXIV challenge run if you will. Solo FF14, even.

It’s great that I can just phone these in since no one will ever read this far down.

  1. Roomie gave me a "lore reason" for why caster/healer gear is Like That. Which btw I somehow never noticed despite dancing between a Tank(whether I was gnb or drk varied), Dancer(lol), Red mage, and my actual main main Scholar last time I was playing. Mostly between Scholar and Dancer. But she says it's cause we blow ourselves up so much as newbies our resistance is skewed magical and the gear just reflects this lol

  2. Susano is probably at this point looking at Solo going "How many times do I have to teach you this lesson old man" before bonking them with their giant sword into a fine paste given past streams. So either they beat them soon, or….I guess see you when 8.0 hits to try again, Rath?

  3. I'm new to final fantasy, Only recently getting passed Susano myself. I want to watch more of of your "Solo" series, but it looks like I'm going to have to stop watching until I complete storm blood. my friend and I play msq together so this isn't likely to happen probably until you're well into shadow bringers. I look forward to watching you more soon 🙂

  4. When you alluded to Baelsar's wall being a wall I was like, entirely certain that it'd be restraint collar, honestly. I was like, direly certain – the fact that it wasn't is honestly kind of hilarious to me. That the dinky lil robot is what caused by far the most grief is surprising but checks out, that shit hurts.

Either way though, fantastic job as always!

  5. As someone who is masochistic enough to run the Ex version solo as a WAR back in shadowbringers… even to this day doing it with no echo is my personal best achievement. While not exactly what you're dealing with, but it took me weeks, and really taught me how to manage my cooldowns and even using them perfectly i only barely managed to do it by the skin of my teeth.

  6. Great series and im looking forward to what you come up with next.
Even long time veteran players can learn a thing or two from what you show.

Also, I have no idea how you could get past Susano. Not even a level 100 WAR can burst him fast enough or survive that sword hit.

Ninjas Doton should not do enough dmg to kill it on its own.

  7. So a cute little reference in the Calcabrina fight; the tankbuster Knockout is a reference to the Puppetmaster job in Final Fantasy XI. In that game you gain a mechanical puppet partner who you can customize to perform various roles in a party, one of the weaponskills the puppet can learn is Knockout!

  8. Been watching these videos since day one and holy shit never do these accomplishments fail to impress me. Love these videos and all the hard work that goes into them, they are so oddly inspirational. Just seeing that there was an upload makes my day. Keep up the good work Rath and never give up, you've done the impossible time and time again in this series

  9. I'm going to be frank, I think this series should've ended when you arrived at Labyrinth of the Ancients. I understand the desire to carry on a series, but I feel like the series has severely broken away from the original spirit of the challenge. Running numerous points of the challenge as unsynced overleveled jobs I feel isn't overly interesting, even if you did level them solo outside the content. I feel it would've been much more succinct to simply reach the final point you could solo and go, 'This is as far as you can make it' and then move on to other things.

That's just my personal take, though. Cheers and good luck with your channel.

  10. Hey Rath, wanted to say thank you! I really have thoroughly enjoyed the Solo series, and I absolutely cannot wait for more but even more than that you really helped me fall back in love with XIV right before Dawntrail, especially with my crafters, i never particularly enjoyed crafting but the small sequences of gathering the stuff and making it yourself has actually made me level a lot more of my crafters this expac! and as a result DT has been some of the most fun I have had playing XIV in ages, thank you so much for all your hard work on this series and I cannot wait to see the rest of it and everything else!
