  1. The algorithm brought this video to me. Fun to see someone enjoying this game. If you are interested in feedback, i have a couple notes.

The person in the party talking about "adds" was referring to the "additional enemies" that appeared during the fight. In most cases, if a boss fight spawns additional enemies, it is best to target them and prioritize taking them down quickly. There are rare cases where ignoring them is the thing to do, but usually you want to take them out unless the boss is about to die.

The terror debuff was a result of you not getting out of the aoe fast enough. That particular ability gives you barely enough time to make it out, but the general rule is that if the orange on the ground disappears before you make it out, then it will hit you, even though it hits a second or two later.

Regarding party wipes, it is always best to respawn yourself and interact with the "shortcut" near the entrance, if it is present, to save some time running back. Getting a rez means you will have a 2 minute weakness debuff. You should wait for a rez if there is someone still alive that might be able to rez you, or if it is a boss fight where it looks like they might succeed without you. But for a full wipe, everyone should release and run back together for best efficiency.

  2. i thought they reworked that dungeon already recently.
But if not, at that boss you have to slow down DPS a lot because if you push the boss HP down too fast she will start doing her wipe mechanic "Fatal Allure" way to early where she eats up any remaining Adds and deals dmg based on how much she absorbed. Instead you have to kill the adds first at all cost and maybe even not attack the boss for a while because afaik the trigger for the ability is her remaining HP.

  3. I absolutely adore people not knowing how to do old ARR dungeons, it’s so precious. But after enough runs it’s normal to not understand how it works, and that it’s okay to ask for help when you don’t understand a mechanic. We’ve all been there before.

  4. General assumptions to have going into new fights:
    – Any enemies that spawn mid fight (aka "adds") are to be killed on sight
    – the front of the boss is for tanks only (i.e. don't casually stand next to the tank)
    – Respawn if everyone who can raise is down. (Anyone with a green icon, summoners (angled pointed triangle icon), and red mages (your co-dps. Lvl64+ only)
    – Healers will not heal you. (Usually not a problem but be it skill, range, resources, or pettiness just assume you won't get heals. DO NOT DEACTIVATE YOUR INVINCIBILITY AFTER BEING RAISED but that's a whole nother thing)
    – Every orange puddle will kill you.
    – If you die 100 to 0 then you (or possibly teammates) missed a mechanic
    – Untelegraphed AOEs may be larger than they appear
    – If you can fall off arena then you can absolutely get pushed off
    – The design on the floor might be useful (attack patterns tend to match the lines in the floor)
    – Do not stack the stack markers (sleepy tower is teaching bad habits 😡)

That's all I can think of for now

  5. When someone is Marking mobs (The number on their head) you kill them by number. This boss has a mechanic that if you don't kill the adds she eats them and deals damage based on the adds remaining health

  6. As for when to release if it's a wipe you release if you die just after the boss is killed you release. Reason being you get a -25% damage debuff if you die 2x it's 50%. That's the "dunce cap" icon

  7. You should definitely give healing a shot. I thought i would never try it out either, but its been pretty fun, at least on Sage. Initially, i was hesitant because i play with controller, but it might actually work out better with it.

  8. Here I am doing levemetes to level my crafting/gathering classes up & I could be doing hard mode for this dungeon.

I like watching video guides so I can pay attention better.

Also, if you dont like how something looks, put it on & then take the previous piece you were wearing & put it in the glamour dresser in the inn room & then with a glamour prism apply it & you have the previous look while utilizing the new stats of the equipped item.

  9. The piece of gear you got at the end looks like it went into your inventory. if its there and not in your armory chest the "reccomend best gear" button wont find it nor will it appear in armoury chest if changing gear manually. If there are no other party members still in the dungeon/they all leave, chest gear just goes to the last remaining player.

most gear will say what jobs it will work on. but if it just says "disiple of war" then it will go on any job that uses a physical weapon to attack (sword, bow, gun etc) if it says "Disiple of magic" then it will go on any class using magic to attack.

If your in a boss, wait for the healer to revive you. if your not in one, revive at entrance and use short-cut to get back faster. If everyone dies, revive at entrance and use short-cut to get back faster.

  10. I love the last boss of this dungeon. i always got this dungeon in my roulettes =3
The safe way to deal with this boss is to leave its health at 50-40% until you kill the 3rd last set of add.
if done correctly the 3rd blood rain wont result a wipe, at that point you can safely kill the boss

But if the boss has less than 35% health and the last add is still alive with more than 10% health, the boss will instantly pull and kill the add, resulting in a wipe.
but if such scenario happen.. a tank LB or PLD covering the healer can save the run from a wipe

  11. Haukke Manor hard still scares me lol. Even if you know how to do the final boss, you can still space out at the wrong time and suddenly you're on the floor.
Really fun to watch you go back through these! I love the hard modes of dungeons and how they reimagined them for a second visit.
