  1. The blue quests that give aether currents, all have substantial followups with things to learn about their society. Raen Au Ra are largely modelled after Japanese while Xeala are more like Mongolian warriors.

  2. There is a list of about 50+ Xaela tribes in the Azim Steppes. Some side quests will introduce you to a number of them, also some Namazu crafting/gathering quests later introduce you to even more tribes. At this point in the story, the only Raen population you know of is under water in Sui-no-Sato(some fascinating side quest material there, as well, related to their social structure)

  3. My favourite wow zone is in cataclysm vashj'ir everyone seems to hate it cause it's underwater but the story for me is so good. Tbh with FFXIV I blitzed the story so it's all a blur to me but the entire arc of FFXIV does it for me.

  4. I know what zone is my favorite…but Spoilers!! But that doesn't mean I didn't LOVE the Steppe! When you first get there, and can't fly I had the best time riding all my ponies through the zone. it's so big you can hear the music loop a few times before you get to where you need to go. Loved that. And then when I could fly, taking the lanner out and flying across was special too. And the night sky!!! OMG!! It's so BEAUTIFUL!!! So yes the Steppe is up there.
