im sure he come back to the msq at some point. I just enjoyed his msq streams, and the raids were actually fun to watch. i dont even play the game myself, but its quite watchable, which is straange seeing its not a big twitch game lol

Why are people assuming he didn't like the story? He didn't mention the story at all in this video. Also in other streams, he already said he's only doing MSQ on stream. He's streaming other stuff, so he's not doing MSQ – not doing MSQ means he's locked out of the content he actually wants to do off-stream.
Ill be real. I try out the game myself and give it all. But I couldn't be bothered to play. It just isn't for me. I'm glad it's successful though. Jrpgs are my favorites in gaming. I have a ton of respect for Yoshi for being a grand developer.

He should just casually play through stormblood msq or offstream it, SHB MSQ will attract a lot of viewers and its fun.
my suspicion is asmon is saving it for a lull period when he is bored of lost ark and elden ring.
We shouldn’t expect a person who doesn’t like story and character driven rpgs to like ff14s story and character driven rpg moments. Asmon loves Raiding, grinding, and soulsborny type games. Raw Gameplay completely devoid of drawn out story and character development.
Final fantasy andy here. Not everyone is going to love everything about ffxiv. Some people love raids, some people just msq, some people erp, and some hate it altogether. Everyone has their tastes and preferences and whatever they are it's OK. I hate it when I see people talk shit just because someone doesn't like "their" game. It's your time, play what makes you happy.

Asmon is one of the least consistent people that I enjoy watching. Loves new world crafting and professions but is unwilling to even try FF14 professions which are without a doubt objectively better than New World and most other games.
Why tf do people in this comment section assume he hates MSQ? All he said in this video is the MAIN thing he likes is the raids, and he has made that clear since before he even started playing. He wouldn’t be saving MSQ for main stream if he hated it.

Jesus, just let him play what he wants? If he really liked the game, he'd be playing it over Lost Ark. Every time FF XIV comes up on Asmongold channel, it feels like the FF 14 Andies trying to gaslight the game into him and it's honestly pathetic. I play FF XIV actively and I cringe at these toxic positivity crowd who try to SJW the game into other people without realizing some actually don't enjoy the game and people also generally don't appreciate having things forced down onto them

Didn't he hit level cap on all the professions and stuff in New World?
He says he likes the ffxiv raids but got his butt kicked in Alexander savage and never came back again. I remember he simply stopped trying before even reaching alexander prime on his second stream. If he finished it, it was off-stream and without ilvl sync/no-echo.
All I see in the comments are FFXIV lovers or the extreme haters calling them "Andies" or the FFXIV players calling the WoW players "Andies"
As far as I'm concerned, you're all a bunch of fucking weirdos. Hating on games you've never fucking played before and judging entire communities based off the actions of people in Asmons streams. Most of the fucking FFXIV players that are hating on World of Warcraft have never even touched the game and most of the WoW players hating on FFXIV have never fucking touched it.

I do hope he returns to do MSQ because his MSQ journey is the best. Infact MSQ journeys are all I watch

Should just pay to hit max level and do the raids?
Ill be honest after a few msq expansions and lvl class it starts to wear out but if you do eureka that alot of time to invest in ontop of Bozja which is interesting.
However if he known about baldesion arsenal he will like it but depends if its person preference.

You will be disappoint too if the new alliance raid is not on the dailies and match make by the lvl you are.
He doesn't really know why he stopped playing himself I think. But given the circumstances and the trauma of last year I think I understand
