  1. Sakaguchi-san finished a Shadowbringers relic weapon?! As someone who has done that mostly as "solo" playing pov… I commend him. Because the first grind is the worst – every weapon after that is just cakewalk. And the speed he did it with when you think of his possible work schedules just makes it even more "unbelievable" I guess.

Your videos of his journey are so wholesome, because as someone who doesn't look at twitter as all I would not know anything about this. Thank you for taking the time to compile all these heartwarming tweets into video format. May you ever walk in the light of the Crystal.

  2. I like minion interactions. A cool little touch that adds a bit of flavor. Sadu and Magnai fight. Omega F and M cast a spell together. Any Moogle with any other Moogle dance. Wolf pup and coeurl kitten fight. Lots of animal minions group together like a herd. Mandragoras take turns dancing. Mammets (the little Grand Company robots that look like FXI puppets) will salute each other.

Those are just the ones I've seen.

  3. The creator of Final Fantasy becoming a huge fan of FFXIV is just amazing. I hope this will inspire even more FF fans to try the game! After all, it's completely free through all of Heavensward and up to lvl 60!

  4. 3:41 We actually had a running gag with my friends that for any first timers that get yeeted by the building, we originally had a macro that said "Congrats friend, Square Enix literally had to throw their building at you to kill you XD"

  5. I loved the Neir raids, they are such a fantastic design from a skill perspective. There are a huge number of mechanics and the first time you do them it's like "WTH is this?" and it seems impossible. However, the thing is that the raid is super, super learnable, even more so than other raids in FF14. So as you get used to each mechanic it eventually becomes as easy as doing the Crystal Tower. It focuses on learning things rather than say tight dance movement checks that you might get in other raids.

I know all fights in FF14 are "learnable" but this set of raids is peak demonstration of that idea.

  6. The use of the SE building in the final boss fight of the Nier raid series makes sense, considering that the second phase is a direct reference to the Drakengard "E" ending. That ending occurs in Shinjuku and is a fight between the hero/dragon pair and a "white giant". The giant is defeated and dissolves, but the dragon and rider are shot down by the JSDF. This is the event that sets off the entire Nier timeline.
