Apologies for uploading so late! My uploading schedule is kind of a mess atm and it might be like that for a while until I sort it out.
I was also having trouble motivating myself editing my ShB playthrough. Part of me wanted to actually delete everything I recorded so far and simply start this expansion over to do it the right way—what I should and shouldn’t be doing in this expansion—but I know I can’t do that to myself. It would not be fun for me or to my friends, and to you guys who enjoy watching these. I apologize for having these thoughts.
It’s cool finding out more of Emet-Selch in this section and the history of Zodiark and Hydaelyn. I probably should have known way more if I talked to him outside of cutscenes(as some of you have commented), but I didn’t get to.
And.. Y’shtola.. I apologize if I reacted that way XD
She really scared the hell out of me! I don’t want her to do that stunt again!
I would also like to mention that I kept trying to do a thick accents for Almet HAHASDLKASJDL
I’m not sure why I kept doing that, but it’s funny hearing myself.

Something happened early on in the MSQ (ARR) where Ifrit couldn't temper you. That cutscene with Emet was a very big a-ha moment for me.
One Hour and 48 minutes!?!? POGGERS
BTW for the tether in the dungeon, you only have to make it so it turns purple. If it is pink it hurts, purple is safe. Just to save you running to the edge of the arena. That is used in a bunch of fights in ShB.
Little fun fact about the dungeon there. In the section after killing batsquatch, that section with the tree overlooking the waterfalls is a reference to another square game. It's a one for one replica of the opening scene from Secret of Mana, with the birds and everything. Can't wait for the next vid!

Changed from Conjurer to Black Mage
The AI will most of the time prioritize finishing her spells over moving for mechanics
Her rotation, she goes "Element 1 of the Seventh Dawn", rotates through all elements then moves to "Element 4 of the Seventh Dawn"
The level 4 spells is actually an AoE rotation of sorts, it will split single target damage between every mob so its still a lower dps than a normal AoE rotation, but a lot better than the other trusts
this right here is the single biggest bombshell in ffxiv. finding out that hydaelyn is a primal suddenly throws EVERYTHING we thought we knew up in the air. the Ascians now actually make sense with understandable motives. when the trailer thing showed up at the fanfest before the shadowbringers launch and that primal tidbit was dropped at the very end, the audience was in stunned silence for a solid few seconds while we all processed it. it suddenly brings a question up. Are we Tempered by Her? is THAT what the blessing of light is? Should we be doing everything she wants? the community went absolutely APESHIT with theories. it was a fun time
The history lesson is one of my favorite Emet moments. Such a big moment, yet so calm.
This whole arc is so much fun! Though fun may be the wrong word due to all the poison and death. But still great reactions. Makes me want to finish my new game plus run through of this.

Quick note, The cutscene with the giant hole in the ground is the first instance of the Rescue spell being used in the MSQ. And better yet, IT WAS USED TO PULL SOMEONE OFF A CLIFF!
You can see how powerful Emet is : the last time, to take back Y'shtola from the lifestream we needed 3 powerful white mages asking for the help of the elementals next to a sacred tree. Emet? He just needs a fingersnap and his natural sass!

I don't know what would make you doubt your videos/playtrough. I'll just say some words just in case it will do you some good. There is no wrong or right way to enjoy Shadowbringer.

I suspect Y’shtola is not happy because her affliction prevents her from differentiating color of specific flowers. She can only see the aether.
Ysa's memory is impressive, remembering every line from every trailer, drawing connections between quests where most miss 'em. Hat's off, and I'm sure it'll serve you well going forward too.
All I could think about after that Emet-Selch history lesson was: What if we've been tempered by Hydaelyn all this time? Are we no better than the Ascians?
not sure if you understood the battle between hydaelyn and zodiark, zodiark was summoned to be the Will of the star, but some who didnt agree with this summoned hydaelyn to be the counterpoint of zodiark, and the blow she struck so hard, split the world into 10 and 3 reflections + the source, she split the will of zodiark 13x to make him weak af and not be able to do anything
