  1. There is one thing to note: most Xaela Au Ra believe that Azim and Nhaama created each clan independently of the other to use them as soldiers to fight the forces of the other deity. After a time the two clans came to love each other rather than hate and the quarrel ended, with the Dawn Father and Dusk Mother returning to the heavens to let their children live together in peace.

  2. Feel like I should mention that their gods didn't bump privates. The moon and sun gods were arguing who was the best parents over the new world despite not having kids yet and discovered pathogenesis. So the kids argued about who was the best parent till they decided both parents were cool so then mom and dad actually decided to stop bickering for their kids…then they might've actually poked lol

  3. Aside from "Ozbeg" mentioned in the video, I've seen "Onogur" appear as a randomized Xaela name. So that means Old Turkic names would likely also be lore friendly for them. Lots of Turkic Khans with cool-sounding names over the centuries

  4. Awesome video, very nice and digestible, I've been reading up on Au Ra lore for a long while now and it makes it so much more interesting to play the race! I play a Haragin, which means he's a coastal boy whose ancestors were sailors and sea faring explorers. It's fun to learn about the different tribes, they're so colorful and different and the character creation gets a whole new layer with it!

  5. My Xaela is of the Salazam clan.
Meaning Silverscale and are very rare sight.
Snow white skin, long silvered hair, and eyes of fire.
Solitary creatures with an intimidating presence but are pure of heart and often the humblest of Au Ra.
Ages ago they ruled in a snowy mountain kingdom that has since crumbled to dust with no evidence of this royalty remaining
    besides name alone.

  6. Honestly, I can't feel sympathy for the Au Ra that landed in Ishgard. I mean…looking at their travel path they had to be too stupid to live. I, I just can't feel sorry for them.

  7. no mention of the fact that they are definitely not dragons and probably the descendants of succubi? how do they wear earrings any ways if their horns are their ears? do they drill through their own horns or do they just tie earrings to their horns?
