  1. I mean you have been traveling a ton the past couple of years, so is it not possible that the constant changing of locations eventually led the bank to start blocking things?

  2. Have you checked the billing address that is registered against the card in the squeenix website? Maybe you moved and changed your billing address with your bank, but you haven't updated the squeenix site to match? I had this issue once and it was basically impossible to figure out from the error messages I was getting from mogstation.

  3. I just started playing a week or so ago im lvl 50 looking how to see what it cost once i get off free trial for game time on xbox only thing on xbox store is the crystals and the editions of the game so in confused and i cant see it on the heavily confusing ffxiv website

  4. I swapped from Chrome to Edge and was able to complete my transaction. So I'm thinking there's something going on with Chrome and Chrome like browsers that was/is preventing it from being completed. Not sure what. And I only did that when I was asked if I had tried another browser by my father. I felt so dumb when he asked me if I had.

  5. as someone who works in the customer service of a certain banking app card transaction can be declined due to bank checks especially if it was attempted multiple times. so I can say it's worth a try to check with ur bank as it may have been flagged as unauthorized on the banks system.

  6. Ive been a customer service rep for a long while. Payment issues are so frequent (due to all the communication errors btw the service and the bank) and the system reps are using are often crappy and glitchy, the reason why it hasn't gone through doesn't show up on their end so its a guessing game, they will prob write a ticket to another department to check their system and then tell you to check the bank. If the bank isnt blocking the payment you should keep escalating the issue to have it resolved quicker.

  7. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if the consistent attempts and changed to the payment system in such a short amount of time, could alert the bank to being Fraud transfares and blocked.

  8. I had the similar situation – the card can buy anything on the Internet but not ff14. As a result, the bank replaced the card for me, with a new card number. It finally resolves 😂

  9. Wait did they change who deals with the payments? Because t his sounds like another game I used to play and stopped because they would blame my bank when my bank said everything is fine on their end and it has to be the merchant side of things, As in the merchant wasn't handling the payment autheroizations correctly and refused to accept that it was their side that was fucking up. Forgot how it was now this was so long ago but blaming your bank on this is kinda bullshit excuse on a card that's already been handling the payments perfectly fine.

  10. I had this exact issue with the CC error back before they even changed gateways. They checked and said it was the bank so I contacted my bank and they said they were not blocking the transaction.

    I completely removed the card and re-added it and that seemed to resolve it. Hopefully, you can try again and see if this works. Since you already have a ticket open with them you might want to discuss changing the address/country on your account also.

  11. It's probably whatever bank integration Square uses now. Square Enix only sees the end result of an error 601, so they themselves cannot fix it. It's their payment system provider, that is likely the issue here.
    So a) Square needs to train their support staff better
    b) error 601 issues should be raised by Square with their payment provider

  12. I feel for everyone having issues, I was scared to resub myself a few weeks ago after I've heard about the chaos. But I have never had any issues, except maybe once concerning account login confusion since you seem to need one for Square Enix website and a different one for the mogstation. Maybe Im just lucky. Or swedish banks are safe from the same issues others seem to have 🤷‍♀
    Fingers crossed all issues are solved soon for anyone having troubles, and that SquareEnix streamlines this process in the future🤞
