for all the doom-and-gloom talk from Meteion: the last chapter of endwalker follows the concept of the heat death of universe where indeed all things in universe WILL die and grow cold, fictional etheirys included. we as WoL cannot avert the process forever but will prolong the existence of our home + its shards, otherwise we could not do holiday shenanigans in Dawntrail 😀
