For context FF14 has a clas snamed Bard that allows you to pull out an instrument and play it. The thing is the instrument is actually pretty good with how they play irl and so people can play anything on it as long as they have the muaic sheet to play and can do it in game on the key board.
For those that's confused about what happened on the later part, someone already mentioned about the bard class, so to put it simply, that tune that played on that moment is played by someone else nearby. Yes, it's a bgm being played by another player through in-game feature.
A quick note, however, is that there's an official rule that you MUST NOT play any other copyrighted music outside of the ones in the game on stream or as content creator(youtube or twitter videos and the like), so be very careful on what you play on that feature or careful on who you shared it to. Not sure if there's any changes to it, but the reason is as obvious as copyrights. As good as the game is, that doesn't mean they own the license for the entire world's music library.
