  1. Ninja….no other job calls to me quite like Ninja

Started playing in SB and tried Monk, Red Mage, and then Gunbreaker. All felt good, but not great. Then came Ninja.

The fast paced and punishing Mudra, hyper mobility, and a small but impactful ranged kit to boot had me at hello. The more I learned and unlocked, the more I was forced to change my hot bars to adapt to this new language. The language of love.

This job will be my FF14 identity here and forever more

Appreciate you doin this video Happy. Been waiting a while for it

  2. Hide was kinda clutch in Castrum Meridianum, as it allowed Ninjas to avoid the mobs hanging out on the oil rig (?) just before the first gate to get into the Castrum's base proper. This let your group skip, if I'm not mistaken, three packs of mobs (assuming the Ninja didn't fail and pull a mob when coming out of Hide to interact with the pipes to blow them up).

  3. Ninja is the best! I haven't played super long, but I've always been a Ninja/Rouge main. It is also really funny, and kind of weird cause people still don't understand ninja that well. I'm no pro, but I see people do some really questionable stuff alot.

  4. Personally, I hope the next DPS we get will use Scouting Gear, so we had another job that uses the set just like Reaper now uses Maiming alongside Dragoon.
Amusingly perhaps, I actually hope this job will be ranged, like some sort of sniper type class. I would enjoy having a gear set that crosses between roles, and Ninja already uses aiming accessories.

  5. Ninja my beloved but also the job with the second heighest disperity bettwen basic knoweldge and endgame knoweldge(second only to BLM in my opinion.)

The Ninja greifeing is still a thing I see CONSTANTLY. bettwen single target doton now long after it's usefulness is gone. To Ninjas that don't know how to use Suiton or how to prepull it's a genuenly difficult job to get a hold of, and that's just like figuring how the job works, but at the same time.

IT'S THE SINGLE COOLEST JOB IN THE GAME. bettwen it's general utility with mug to it's ranged utility allowing for it to act like a proxy range dps if absouletly neccisary to how it interacts with other jobs with buffs to the fact that it now and forever will always be METTTAHHHHH(meta is a lie).

  6. Oh god… Old Raiju. What the hell were they thinking. Two forced GCD animation-locked gapclosers when ONE OF THE TWO EXTREME TRIALS GAVE YOU BIND.
And you only had 15 SECONDS to spend every stack of forked raiju, and spending raijus didnt refresh the timer!!! So if you had 3 stacks to spend it'd take about 11 seconds to spend them all (ON A 15 SECOND TIMER!)
Made me switch to MNK for the start of the expac. Absolute NIGHTMARE.

  7. A couple things regarding phantom kama. They removed the costing 1 bunshin stack, probs cause it just complicated it for no reason. It was also slightly nerfed by prepull doton being removed when they changed raijus (before that it would trigger the doton proc in the opener). I didnt play alot of ninja at ew release, but I remember seeing the dmg was awful. You also couldnt fit all the raijus into trick which made it feel bad to just play. I took it one time into first ex and said nope until the raiju change where they also brought the dmg up to par. I like how it feels atm.

  8. I thing I think you forgot to mention was square tweaking the way mudras worked throughout the early life of the job. like at some point they made mudras work smoother as OGC skills because upon release weaving 3 button Mudras was “clunky” it was like a little delay after each mudras and unless you had really good ping it was actually somewhat difficult to weave your mudras in-between. Then like I said there was a patch at some point they finally made them work smooth like we know them today.

  9. I don't know if this changed from ARR, but I've had friends who mistakenly picked a non-Limsa class and actually walked from their starting location (I think it was from Gridania) just so they could do Rogue.

  10. If anyone can give me some insight in this old ninja question. When I was lvl 60 ninja back in the day, I would always use duality with dream within a dream. Cause when I was reading it, to me it sounded like it would double all hits in that single skill use. So in my mind I thought I would be hitting for 6 hits for 600 potency. I’m guessing that is wrong but if someone could brake it down for me I would appreciate it.

  11. The job that made me fall in love with this game, the combos and the fast pacing make it so fun and challenge your improvisation to use the right ninjutsu at the right time. And the cool weapons and armor sets 😍
