  1. Lol biggest “but why tho” video 😂 rmt is just silly. I wish there was an easier way for GMs/devs to get rid of that permanently, but seems like it’s a plague in all multiplayer games.

  2. Lets follow your logic: Why buy anything on mogstation since the game can go down any minute? Why waste time on the game at all?

I think calling people lazy is a pretty simplistic view. People come home tired from their normal jobs (not youtuber/streamer) and wanting to have fun for 3/4 hours without having to spend those on boring farming content.

Yes it is against ToS to buy Gil and I totally not recomend to do this unless you are willing to accept the risk to lose your account, but your take on this topic is so self-centered and simplistic that I had to leave a comment.

  3. I wouldn't say Lazy but rather uneducated, they think that's normal but in the case of FFXIV it's not. I admit that I used RMT in Ragnarok Online to buy really high end gear, but those were different times+ I never would do RMT in FFXIV! I'd say SE should make a notification when logging in to rise awareness against RMT.. like a Gil Bonus for reporting RMT Bots and the Gil will be sent after the Report has been taken care off or something like that. Also not everyone has the time to lvl crafter+ the time lvling crafter may eat up the time that could've been spend for MSQ Progression. Funnily, I recently uploaded a 3h+ Video of RMT Lalafells in Limsa Lominsa underground.. that I only got to see via the idle camera, how would I've been able to right click them?^^

  4. I do wonder why folks do it in 14, my money is also on lazniness given what it takes to clear savage, learn it from the start, and then get into ultimates much less find 7 people who are competent enough to clear it.

I do RMT occassionally, basically WoW where my hobby PKing is a core part of the game. And my motive is a mix of laziness and time: My job has me travel aloooot, and once assignments begin-I work 10 hour days at minimum everyday until our objective is complete and I can sleep in my own bed again-during which time, wifi isn't always reliable and honestly…I need the time to rest and make sure I can still take care of my group. (Darkest Dungeon vibes haha)

I wish WoW was more relaxed about staying relevant gear wise, but I just don't have time to do ranked that I used to-but all this time spent working means I can get a "merc" to get my Shaman up while I'm away, then I shake the rust off and can enjoy my days off enabling Ranked BG serial killers xD (Lucked out and got a guy I trust, and spoil the fuck out of him for taking time to help me)

Is it right? Oh fuck no, but despite WoW's competitive nature-it IS my avenue to relax as 14's MSQ slows down and pulling my hair out desperately trying to catch up to my guild isn't relaxing.

  5. I did rmt on ff once upon a time. Before lottery ever became a thing when you could buy a house from a discord at extremely inflated prices.[I'm talking roughly 200 mil. For a large. And as someone who plays since 2.0] I have most of my classes including crafting at 90. I dont enjoy gathering so saying to craft Is not a option for me since I will not gaher I don't even have flying fully unlocked in SHB or EW. maybe one or two areas. Calling me lazy…sure maybe I am. I suffer from sleep apnea I work 6 days a week. If I wanna risk my account that's my prerogative. I only do dungeons and alliances as well as my roulette. Then I gpose and rp. That's my thing. I don't enjoy farming extremes for mats. I did once upon a time but I could care less now. I don't enjoy maps cause that requires the ability to fly andmostmap parties run a need only on your map greed on everyone else's. I will never go up to someone and tell them to rmt. But I won't ridicule someone who does. I think you have a very close minded perspective on it since it's literally in almost every mmo to this day. And no I do not feel bad for doing it because its my risk to bear. I understand the aggravation but I have also never done it to too hinder anyone or crash a market. I have only ever done it for glams and ONE house in my many years of playing since 2.0 launch of the game.

  6. Sometimes I feel the need to do it.. I've never done it, but seeing the prices of things on the marketboard, it's always tempting.
See I'm a collector and completionist, and I refute anyone who tells me "Gil has no use".. I am almost constantly broke, with 8 characters on the go to farm as much gil as I can to pay sometimes 15-20 million PER item, take the new minions and mounts for example: Pinky the Elephant mount is 25 million on the marketboard, wind-up Philos & Aidoneus are 10-15 million each, Wivre Mount is still 35-40 million, the Fallen Angel wings are 35-40 million, then you also have 175 million in gil sink mounts.

Is it tempting to just give myself a cash injection? Hell yeah it is..
..but I also wouldn't go risking my account on it.

I noticed around the release of 6.3.. almost 4x the amount of people were terminated and suspended for partaking in RMT than the week before, which just told me that people are buying gil to buy new stuff, which reflects on the marketboard when others are intentionally charging 50 something million on new items knowing the whales will just buy them up.

  7. All the excuses in the comments "I have little time to play therefore I do it" "I got money and am bored"

Lazy still applies to all of you and you are an active participant in the bot farming.
How you feel pride in your efforts idk. I don't think you feel the same joy of looking at a collection item as someone who worked for it did. Sucks for you I guess, but you're also actively harming the game economy. So I hope you get banned.

  8. We often think that rich kids RMT their way to be famous, but that's not how I see it, I kinda see it as this predatory thing where some people are depressed in their life, and shortcut their way to clout in a game like ffxiv to feel better about themselves. There's research into this looking at gacha mechanics in free to play games, there is definitely millionaire whales, but there's also a lot of people who are trying to cope for things with a dopamine rush, and RMT'ing becomes an addiction. I've played FFXIV for 8 years now, and I've never felt short to buy the gear *I need*, if I feel short, it's to buy galmours and vanity items. Worth mentioning that I am terrible at crafting and managing my money too. 😀

  9. If I were rich I'd pay 7 people to suffer alongside with me to do savages and ultimates until I manage to finish them with my (and everyone's) own effort because I want to feel that suffering, grinding and happiness when we do complete the fights. These 7 people have to follow my schedule, mood and not using cheats because like I said, I want us to suffer together hahaha~
But that's the dream. Someday I'll get that courage to join a static or learning pf group

I did buy RMT before but that was in Tera Online for cosmetics. 'Till this day I regret for spending so much of the money for only the server got shut down last year like bruh. But Tera Online is one of the mmorpg I cherish the most in my life because it taught me how to deal with toxic players and it's better to watch or read guides when I get into new dungeon just so I wouldn't become anyone's burden. Man I miss the car mounts in Tera especially the police car 🤧

  10. I do get your point and I don't mean to offend, but this video sounds like it was made with a VERY limited world view.

Across everyone that I know that has ever RMT'd in any game, not just FFXIV, none of them did it because they were "lazy". All of them did it because of their lack of free time. I even did it in Destiny 2 before I quit the game a couple of years ago, so I'm no saint in this matter.

Due to my lack of time to actually play FFXIV, I just hit 3 million gil after playing for 2 and a half years. There's a lot of things in FFXIV that are so expensive (gil wise) that I will have to play for many more actual years to afford.

While I don't ever intend on RMT'ing in FFXIV simply because I care about my character/account too much, I do sometimes wish I could just so I could get some of the silly things that I want that I'll likely never be able to have.
