One of the only interactions I've had with a random in the game is I was standing outside of a dungeon early in the game waiting for a group to form. They were a white mage and started talking to me, but I was still on the free trial at the time so he invited me to a party so I could talk to them easier. They asked how long I had been waiting, (about 20 min) and they got a couple of more of their friends to join and we ran the dungeon. They sent me a friend request, and they have been on my friends list for a year now. I now have the full game, but I've never seen that person be online since then.
