  1. I'd definitely understand if it would be too much to add to this MASSIVE playthrough. But I think it would be great to see the Hildibrand quests at some point. Perhaps as a detour for April fools or something. (Also would love seeing your reaction to some of the animation in that quest 'cause it's WILD!)

  2. I think this is a great decision. One of my only real complaints about the series to this point was how it cut out all the interesting and important side content in favor of delivering a streamlined msq experience. A decision I understood, but I think including the more important optional content will allow interested viewers a fuller experience of the game.

After all, my favorite bit of Heavensward story is the Alexander raids, and they're optional.

  3. I am very looking forward to these side contents, which is surprising because at first I felt lukewarm when you said you were going to do a story mode for FFXIV, and little by little, I ended up curious about a lot of stuff regarding this game, like the mechanics and classes.

  4. My Major wishlist item is probably seeing the Dark Knight quests done in Story Mode. It is the first flex of Ishikawa's writing, and also would be elevated by Dan's thoroughness in reading quest descriptions and dialogue. Not to mention, if you wanted to see what this game is really capable of without wanting to watch hours'n'hours of cutscene, it's a perfect (mostly)context independent slice of what this game has to offer.

  5. I tend to say it as A side and B side. A is the expansion, up to first credits. B side is everything else. There's a LOT of content in the B side, less dungeons, but all the raids. Also has the hard work of getting the lumbering beast that is a final fantasy plot to TURN to be on target for the next thing.

When people try to rate the expansions against eachother, I always ask them to seperate front and back half, because, lets face it, stormblood, the B side was SO much better.

  6. I can just picture Durmin on vacation. Swimsuit, big straw hat, lounging in a sun chair with a fruity drink next to him on one side and an empty glass on the other. All while he is snoozing in the bright Costa del Sol sunshine.

  7. Post HW is very very good <3
I'm still on free trial, but I've done all of it, got all my crafters and gatherers to lvl 60, DRK too
Waiting for a sale or something to get into the game proper
Will be fun to watch it through here meanwhile

  8. Most yellow side quests are quite run-of-the-mill type of stories but some of the non-blue side quests can be quite funny and/or emotional. I remember the small quest in Eastern Thanalan, by Highbridge, is a man that task you to help create a potion that grow hair for his bald head.

  9. I think it goes without saying that every Warrior of Light, smol or big, should have a holiday between adventures!

Glad to see the series picking up again and I like the plan you've set going forward!
