  1. so many places that are dungeons werent always dungeons it seems alot of dungeons were places of tranquility or holiness but ended up corrupted and misused over time. Even without ascians I wonder if a Zodiark apocalypse was inevitable because people of this world have a tendency of damaging the world themselves.

  2. I wish we could get more spooky dungeons or content in FFXIV. As a dirty coward, I'm quite fond of these horror segments without actually playing a horror game or watching a horror movie!

  3. How fitting that the Padjal once again are in a round about way tied once more to the void. I never knew they where the first owners of such a manor. Great video.

  4. Hmm it’s almost ironic how such a spiritually strong place was twisted towards evil. Although… while it’s a guess on my part as we don’t have any definitive proof… if we assume that certain places thick with aether can become weaker with regards to the fabric of reality (and I mean the crystal tower is a veritable beast of power and it’s able to slip between worlds) then it may be possible that the irony was forced. Maybe not planned exactly to turn it into a voidsent nest but if it was a seat of power and made communication easier with the elementals then I could see the connivances of the ascians stirring the pot to disrupt that communication.

Or at least that’s a possibility. Not every bad thing has a scary ascian shaped boogeyman behind it but at the same time their plots and methods have expanded across virtually all venues to create the chaos they require. I do think there’s something to aetherically dense places being more liable to tear into other worlds but I might just be thinking about being able to see Aglaia now who knows
