  1. Its better because its what is making him money and bringing in the viewers. Once Dragonflight releases he will be right back playing that because that is where the money and views will be.

  2. I think Asmon is a real inspiration.
Seeing how many virgins living in their mother's basement support a lose like him, I find it hard to be anything else than positive about life.

  3. Just a quick correction FFXIV doesn't have much accout wide stuff. Rather, you can do everything on on character, every job, every role, everything. No actual need for alts, except to play on other continent servers, or to play several races, which is purely cosmetic.

  4. The reference to alts in FF14 is clearly referencing alt jobs, whereas in WOW to do alt jobs you have to have a different character.

You can do all the alt jobs on one character vs having to do other jobs on multiple characters in order to play/try those classes/jobs.

That should help clarify the info.

  5. Job system has been a thing in MMORPG since 2001 with FFXI. Unlike FFXIV, FFXI online went further by having sub jobs. This allowed players to mix and match skills and spells from various Jobs. This encouraged people to level up their alt jobs and it incentivized people to become omni-class players rather than having a main. I don't understand why western MMORPG never took this idea and ran with it too. If you lock classes to a race, you will have less people trying out other classes. Especially when you have to replay the parts from the beginning. This shortens your gameplay further.

  6. 14 also gives you the possibility to NG+ the story and certain other story parts (like trial unlock story) with that 1 character if you want to play only a certain storyline and not having to create an alt to do so But that doesn't mean that you have to. freedom of choice is the key here! if you want to play through msq again fresh to experience how it was 'back in the day' you totally can.

  7. I really really really hate having to level a new character. XIV makes this process way easier by just letting me swap on the fly and providing daily content that levels you up at a good pace.

  8. with ALT situation the best have SWTOR (Star wars the old republic) Because lots of stuff you have account unlocked, even armor you can "transfer" between your characters. Grind on 1 and this way all your alts have armor, you need only to remember with one. Same stuff with mounts, cosmetic armors, weapons. You dont need to do story (there are 8 stories there) again, just lvl up and you have everything unlocked all the dungeons and raids. Very alt friendly. for people who like many characters
