  1. Interesting take on alts. Your definition seem to be alt jobs, but that's not the only reason to make alts. The most common alt reason is roleplay and on that front ffxiv is definitely not alt friendly, as the game is made to keep everything on one character.

  2. Without doing savage you’ve never had to really push your job. As such it’s a little bit premature to make a judgement call on the gameplay, but even so this is a decent video. Keep up the good work.

  3. The thing about FF14 vs WoW is definitely the Devs. They Literally took a Broken Game and Made it the best thing around. Yes, pvp is not great in FF, but on the other Hand you have devs that are not going to be idle with it either. These guys Definitely have heard the Feedback and I'm 100% confident that they are going back to the Drawing Board with it and is something on their Minds. That really can not be said of WoW like at all. In fact it can probably even be said that WoW is the absolute opposite. I wouldn't be Surprised if in a couple years down the Line there will be Videos about how FF Devs changed pvp.

  4. listen man throw that guild mentality out the window the real fun of the raids in ffxiv is the pug scene it's soo big and fun (aka all hard content are and can be puggable with randoms day 1 with everyone else ) just throw up a practice party finder or join one , watch a guide of the fight and have fun, wow kills the pug scene with how it does it's raiding, in ffxiv people agree on strats and manners of how to go about doing content it's really fun and doesn't require a comment to a certain group of people, my advice to you, is to go into some of the starting level 80 extermes and just try it out see how people go about doing them i swear you'll get hooked to PF in no time

  5. Another reason people make alts is to raid. Some people want to raid with different groups or with people on different data centers. Using a character that has already cleared a savage raid for the week will screw loot drops over for groups the character joins unless the goal of the group is to JUST get the weekly clear and not care about drops.

  6. The big thing on combat is ffxiv plays like a ff game first so they don't try to push you to be perfect in combat until you try harder content, once you're pushing your job to the higher difficulty it feels a lot better than average msq and dungeon content, in the cast of paladin you have to basically maintain 3 combo cycles, you Dot (goring blade) DPS combo with atonement and your magic combo, and all of the oGCDs that go with them, and that can get really challenging, i totally agree tho, the average feel of ffxiv is a little sluggish, personally it feels more natural tho compared to the robotic snapping i see in wow's style, but it seems to compliment the more competitive pvp part of the game whereas xiv kind of just has pvp bc and it's a niche feature
