When it comes to Voidsent, I feel like we'll come to understand that they are actually very diverse despite their circumstances in that some of them held on to their intelligence and thus can be driven by more than just base hunger. They were, after all, originally comprised of many if not most of the same life that exists on the Source before the Thirteenth fell the darkness. Also, life has apparently had thousands and thousands of years to evolve under these conditions so who knows what we'll actually find when we eventually go there.
