  1. This isn't the end of the story tho. Quinn has proceeded to repeatedly say the FF14 story sucks and is worse than WoW even though he skipped. That's why the FF community dislikes him. Soulsobreezy skipped to Endwalker then uploaded a 1.5 hour Endwalker review complaining about the story and characters. How was he supposed to know the characters when he skipped it all?

  2. 11:35 no one queues coils on duty roulette or duty finder because its the equivalent of Extreme trials/ Savage raids. The queue is usually 30+ minutes if you're lucky (because mentors queue all contents, including extreme)
You have to use the Party finder for coils.

Because there's no normal mode for coils (at least not yet)

  3. Glad you found Rurikhan. Great content creator with a lot of common sense. His focus is on Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy XIV as well as react content which is pretty entertaining

  4. I both love and hate getting EX trial in Mentor roulette. But beating an EX fight in a blind roulette is so much fun. If you que in duty finder for EX fights you will get mentors in your party and I think that is a good way to learn about EX fights in ARR, as long as you get a good mentor that helps.

  5. 11:50 yeah coil is the only raid with this problem, and there is reason to be hopeful that they revamp it since they did revamp a ton of the ARR content, but yeah I hold a certain level of envy that Asmon was able to do coil normally, most people end up doing it unsync with someone at max level.
16:20 ex trials old and current are typically not queued from the duty roulette directly, people tend to prefer to make a party in party finder and then go in together, but if you do queue for an old extreme trial especially those with blue quest attached to them, you will find people maybe after a 30 min + wait and there is 1 roulette that does have the old ex trials attached to it, that's the mentor roulette but while some mentor like me will stick around and teach you the fight, some will insta leave if they get an EX trial or coil.
33:30 one thing that made me hate the lul heading to Titan is that if you play SMN or at least if you did back in SB, you would not be able to start your lvl 35 job quest until you beat Titan, but I was so over leveled for the point I was at in the MSQ that it felt painfully slow how long it took to finally unlock Titan and a lot of those quest are red herring like jk lol kekw this guy is a looser and not a real member of the company of heroes and then after that it was fetch quest the quest for quite a while.

  6. It isn’t even about whether or not he enjoyed it, the argument is how can he have enjoyed it or not if he skipped practically all of it, then went straight into savage content where the telegraphs are minimal , you get punished hard for failing mechanics and he did t even know how to play the class he was using. Then rage quit and says the game sucks lol.

  7. Coils is not part of duty roulette because it is considered too hard for the duty roulette. Coils was the hardest content in A Realm Reborn and its only a bit easier then Savage maybe closer to Extreme Trials in terms of Difficulty.

The point is the hardest content in the game doesn’t have daily roulettes and you need form a static through party finder or fc

  8. I know for a fact the majority of FFXIV players who did care about this whole situation stopped caring when Endwalker released, because their attention shifted to new content so stopped caring and if you bring it up they'll just bad mouth the guy and move on with their day. I mean it's been almost a year since all this went down and there was a content drought in FFXIV during the time period in which all the streamers started streaming the game and having their takes, at the time 5.55 released and everyone finished the final chapter of Shadowbringers in a couple of days, no one was raiding anymore, the only people still playing are those running maps, grinding achievements and 80 relic weapons for their alt jobs. So yeah, the FFXIV long timers had a lot of spare time to pay attention to social media and streamers, so naturally all the nonsense that went down, went down. During time periods of fresh content, no one really cares about what is going on outside their personal lives and the game itself.

In general the FFXIV andies do not represent even the majority of the FFXIV community, they represent a very tiny part of the community and more often than not are usually the kind of individuals who don't really achieve much in the game, they're not the players who have reached floor 200 in Palace of the Dead despite getting into the game in 2016. They are often not people who jumped on board when the game launched, or found it back when it wasn't popular, they only got into it within the last 3 or 4 years. They wait around for others to set up PF groups rather than set them up themselves because they want others to carry them. All while they jump up and down about how great the game is when their behaviour in the game is often parasitic. You'll find that more often than not, people who have enough time to waste harassing streamers or spamming chat on Twitch because they have all that spare time because they don't have a life, not even in FFXIV, because in FFXIV if they were in a PvP team, a raid static, did content every day, had friends, or in RL had a job or care about their school work, or have ambitions and goals… they wouldn't waste time getting mad over the opinion of some clown on the internet. I believe everyone has a right to an opinion, Quinn is no different, so he doesn't like FFXIV, that's cool, he can shout it to the world if he likes. But I have an opinion too, Quinn is a clout chasing clown, end of story. I don't care what he thinks of anything.

  9. This is why I found it hilarious that all these content creators jumped on Shadowbringers & Endwalker at the same time. FF14 has always been more fun to play than to watch. Even Ultimate and Savage raids get dry really fast watching people wipe and start over, again and again for 12hrs+. Few people actually care to watch sprouts fumble their way through MSQ after having experienced it themselves. The more well known FF14 content creators are people who were already playing and enjoying the game on its own merits and playing at their own pace. They’re easily relatable to people who are established fans of the game. That, to me, is the core difference between someone like Quinn and say, Zepla or Mrhappy. But hey, anything for the clout.

  10. I was a story skipper for 6 years in FFXIV. It took a Shadowbringer trailer to make me curious about the MSQ. Before this, all I cared about was the endgame content. I didn't realize how previous MMORPGs I have played has molded me into the type of gamer I was. While I was a story skipper, I slowly realized how lonely I was at the top during the expansion launch. I used to complain about lack of people doing end game content without fully understanding about the pacing of FFXIV gameplay. I was an impatient and an angry gamer. All this was challenged when I saw the Shadowbringer trailer. It made me curious enough to redo the MSQ from the beginning. Although, many content have been spoiled to me already, I had a unique experience with replaying FFXIV. As I started to understand the story of the locations and dungeons I have been in, i had constant revelations throughout the MSQ. 6 years is a long time to make me realize how wrong I was when it came to approaching FFXIV. And finally understand why we have this tight knit community.

  11. the reason why it's hard to get into coils or level 50 extremes is because they are easily soloable, and if coils were in some roulette, very few people would do them unless they added a new mount reward for old expansion raids.

But even though our parties won't be instantly filled like asmongolds, it's still possible to do old content with minimum item level etc, just advertise your party in cities and in minimum item level linkshells.

  12. 0:53 Asmongold didn’t stop playing MSQ because he didn’t want to read, he stopped because of his mothers death and needed to take a break from streaming and when he came back to streaming, by that time other games came out that he wanted to play for a while that were announced before he got into XIV
