This is so true. I was leaning on a wall at the Aftercastle area waiting for my cousin. Note that I was a Ninja class lalafell with a badass glamour. Then a lalafell warrior with a skimpy glamour saw me, leaned to the wall next to me and looked at me. Then I /bow to her,smoke bombed, then ran to the inn.

This usually happens to me. Except right after we both start jumping, I pretend I have something to do and run away to avoid getting attached to strangers and making lasting connections in an MMO that will only lead to loss.
So freaking true. I was just sitting in Limsa and this player in a catfish costume was staring at me from behind a pillar, and I target them and they ducked. I went over there and they saw me then got freaked out and ran away.
You missed the part where one of them gets a duty icon and disappears when the other finally says an actual word to them.
Nothing builds friendships like emoting at each other.

This is exactly how it went with me and a crafting mentor 😅 stared at me for ten minutes straight and then pet me n ran.. now we have a daily ritual where he pats me and i give him a thumbs up. He’s also gifted me two minions and it makes me feel powerful
