FFXIV Endwalker pre-orders allow you to play the game early, but some trial players are getting confused over what they need to do to play between now and launch.

  1. Nice informative Video like always. Cant wait for the 19th….but tbh i wish they Change the Time were the Servers go live. For me from a EU Perspective the Servers are usually up at around 4am…its always weird because i'm always fighting with myself if i should stay awake or wake up super early.

Also i hope we get a smooth Start into the Expansion. Always afraid of 3k+ Login Queues. And pls not a Raubahn Savage 2.0 again. With Shb they did a Really good Job in splitting all the ppl depending of which of the Twins they gonna choose first to quest for.

  2. I never bought stormblood. I did buy heavensward. When I saw the shadowbringers trailer, I immediately pre-order shadowbringers. And then I couldn't start stormblood. I learned all this the hard way.

  3. I was able to pre-order. So the 19th of November is D day for me. However. Three days may not be enough time for me to download the new expansion, much less play it lol. 😂 As I’m no where near ready for Endwalker, I fully expect to lag behind. And for obvious reasons I will be staying away from YouTube, Twitch and social media in general.
My goal is to have fun and enjoy the game at my own pace. Why did I pre-order then? Eer… extra special items. 😅 Thank you for the video guys! Stay safe. ❤️

  5. if you want a refund your account will be locked in an instant; regardless of lvl 61 or not afaik. with retail code applied you are free of all trial limits and for some examples as soon you hire retainer or stray over 300k gil limit or even looked at market board you took advantage of retail and therefore cannot go back to trial. never again nope nada
if you want just free trial again you'll need a fresh account and your former chars are lost forever–unless you renew the purchase.

  6. I brought the game out right, have hit the end of dragonsong war. I'll now buy SB and then endwalker. For people who don't have the money to waste, just level other jobs and have a rest. Always a good watch here, good job men

  7. I have been on this XIV boat since the beta of ARR. To the people on the fence about the game and getting endwalker I say this, It's worth the money I have gotten over 6k hours out of the game since it's relaunch. Yoshi-P and his team actually care about the game and do what they can with the coding to give us fans what we want to the best of their abilities. If only other companies with MMO's could do the same.

  8. I remember for ShB had early access and didn't realize the key didn't unlock the game post launch. What a shock it was to log in on release day and have the total confusion of not being able to play.

  9. Lol spoiler ruining jerks…I have flashbacks to high school when the Harry Potter book (I did not read any of them) where Dumbledore dies. The day the book came out, someone got on the intercom and announced to the whole school, "Dumbledore dies on page XXX". Everyone either screamed or laughed. I'll admit I laughed, but those types of people are some of the worst assholes ever.

  10. I've got my key waiting on steam. Already used my bonus items key. So I'm guessing that on the 19th (Or maybe earlier???), I just use my pre-order key and BAM, I'm in?

And yes, I've already caught up with the MSQ, own ShB, currently subscribed, ect ect.

  11. I finished HW on the free trial and pre-ordered EW. However, I won’t have time to play until end of November.

So can I just buy the Starter Edition now and then activate the EW code when I can play again?

  12. The fact that you could refund during early access before and still get stuck in "purgatory" makes me think it's not just to stop people from being unable to access their account. Chris said that if you were to preorder EW and level from the free trial to 61 and then refund, you'd be stuck without having a free trial and would be locked out of your account (in this case, even if you bought the starter edition). But the same thing would happen if you had EW early access, leveled to 81, and then refunded. You'd lose access to EW and so you'd lose access to your character.

Maybe that's why changes were made to how early access works but if you can still refund, then you can still run into the same problem and the "we don't want you locked out of your account" excuse doesn't seem to work.

  13. Regardless of where you are in the story, it's worth noting Endwalker will be with us 2 years..yes 2 years, so you have all the time in the world even if you play super casually. As someone who has played the game for a long time, take your time. FFxiv is a marathon not a sprint.
