  2. Interesting to see the XIV version of the Regalia, looks very 'Batmobile' to me. Also these Golems look really good in this highly detailed style
    2022 marks the 35th anniversary of Final Fantasy, so I wouldn't mind watching a series of you dabbling in the Realm Reborn

  4. Hold on a minute.. you're doing a dragon quest event, complete a quest and no part of the DQ prelude plays?? Not even the ending part of it??! I have to say that I feel kind of jipped…thanks SquareEnix.. BOOOOOO

  7. OMG! YES! That was absolutely amazing. I am not into MMOs but I am a huge FF and DQ so this made my day. I was laughing and smiling the whole time. I would love it if you made more FF14 videos. Thank you so much for the fun time Mage, keep up the good work, you and your videos are fantastic

I remember enjoying the crafting system, thinking it's a decent minigame that I liked the style of, and I was pretty impressed by the generosity of the free trial having no time limit but once you're subscribed, the free trial is over and there's no way to play free again. This may have changed, it's been a long time. I'm also a big fan of triple triad, and FF8 is my fav in the series. One thing that turned me off of the game is how restrictive the character customization was and I'm not talking about appearances, but statistics. Cookie cutter builds etc. I might be wrong about ff14 in this regard but I've been spoiled by mmorpgs like city of heroes where most builds work even if some work better than others and there's amazing flexibility in choose and customizing your powers and their values like damage, range, endurance (mp cost) on an individual power basis. I understand most games will feel cookie-cutter in comparison to a game that gives you so much freedom, but i did feel quite restricted at the time in FF14 and lost interest.
    It's high quality, well made and designed otherwise though. If I'm wrong, or if my complaints were addressed, I would be more interested again.

  12. Omg you're in Shadowbringers!? Yesssss! I would love to see your reactions to certain parts in the ShB story as well as some of the music in that expansion!

    Plus, you might get new viewers in your channel. A lot of well known streamers have been playing FFXIV recently, which is giving the game more exposure, new players, and more views 😉
