Placodus
Location: Ocean Fishing, The Endeavour
Fishing Hole: The Rothlyt Sound
Bait: Ragworm (mooch)
Conditions: Spectral Current, sunset
Once you arrive in the Rothlyt sound, swap to plump worm for your best chance at triggering a spectral current. Calling out the preferred (but not required) bait for spectral fish is a good way to help increase the chance of a spectral current triggering! Be sure to save your GP for the spectral current!
After the spectral current has triggered, swap to Ragworm. You will need to catch a Rothlyt Mussel, a somewhat short ! bite. If Mooch II is on cooldown, use Patience. Patience II will cover the entirety of a standard spectral current, if you have it. Mooch the Rothlyt Mussel, you’re looking for Trollfish, a quick ! bite while mooching the mussel. You only need one (1) Trollfish to get Placodus fisher’s intuition.
Once you get the Trollfish, stay on Ragworm and go for another Rothlyt Mussel. Placodus is a mooch off the mussel, so if you don’t have Patience up yet, definitely pop it for the intuition if needed. Mooch any Rothlyt Mussels you catch. If you get a !!! bite, it will be Placodus. If you are using Patience, Placodus requires Powerful Hookset to catch.
