Last time I saw this was during Heavensward, the stereotypical male Au Ra Xeala Dark Knight combo too! The guy refused to turn on tank stance and stayed in dps stance, which was a thing back then, because he wanted to do the highest dps posible.
It could work if you had max level gear (lvl 60) when running the dungeon, but not being the minimum required level with barely passable gear to enter the place. He had lots of "Dicipline of War" gear pieces too, which didn't help either.
We tried to tell him he had to stay in tank stance and to change his DoW gear to tank ones after the dungon, but he was freaking out at us saying he was a dps not a tank. Healer finally got fed up and left, so me and the other dps left too.
"Hey Tank your stance is off!" "Stance please." "IRON WILL/TRUE GRIT/ETC PLEASE." Repeat step 3 while cycling through the languages. At this point, I will refuse to move until the Tank notices and sheepishly turns their Stance on. Otherwise, I take the penalty and craft for the next half hour.
i tend to let people who dont give u time to adjust, and act on silly irrational emotions instantly without thinking, a wide birth. Because there has to be more going on in that person's life to act like that over a simple correctable mistake in a game. But it takes all types in a mmo….i guess, but i have never refused to not put on my stance when i forget to. Tanks should be able to tell by the 1st pull, something ain't right.
I had a tank like this, and me and the DPS tried telling them a bunch of times to put on tank stance, even mentioned the actual name of the skill they should press. I had to take my Kardia off of him to get his attention, also bc the mobs are attacking me so I was better off healing myself since he wasn't taking the aggro T-T
The most efficient way to deal with this is to only heal if they have tank stance on and then ask once while they pull and if they don’t respond. Then its not my problem to keep people alive 😎
Does that happen? They just let me know and I apologize then we move on 🤨

How about when the off tank won't turn his off?

Honestly, it's the game designers fault for setting it up that way. They shouldn't have to turn anything on to tank.
I already told a story about a tank that wouldn't turn on tank stance in another meme, but I will say that Light Party thing at the end was hilarious.
