  1. I think the chaotic gear should definitely stay at savage item level, for one big reason. The chaotic raid releases a few weeks after ultimate and it will be totally farmable without any weekly lockout. If this chaotic raid would give you 735 gear then everyone would simply farm the entire set and that would make the ultimate A LOT easier while being on the same patch it released on. I don't think that's a good idea at all tbh. The ultimate would still need to be balanced around 730 because otherwise no one could clear it on patch. It would de-value the ultimate within a few months which would upset loads of people

  2. As a WoW andy who played wow since 2004 and still playing daily to this day, I really love FFXIV raiding and Jobs gameplay and the game suits me perfectly since I'm able to just prog Savage tiers and Ultimates and the second I'm done I just go back to wow waiting for the next tier or ultimateh, that formula works perfect for me.
The only two things I really hate about the game is the server ticks and snapshots, coming from wow and being used to how snapy the gameplay is there, makes FFXIV feels kinda clunky but its not the end of the world cause you get used to it very quickly but the thing that I really want SE to change is how the Savage gearing is gatekept for what feels like an eternity and as someone who literally cleared every single Savage and Ultimate to this day in PF, my experience with loot was horrible and sometimes it made me not wanna play the game, they really need to change that.

  3. GOLD SAUCER MOUNTS/REWARDS ARE LACKING. Been holding 9,999,999 since STORMBLOOD. None of the rewards are worth it. They need to add a ton of rewards for it. Cmon man, this is just plain laziness and neglect.

  4. I am still mind blown that there isn't an achievement for completing each dungeon at minimum item level, I would love for min-ilevel to have some sort of incentive so people would be attracted to it as I find it a lot of fun doing stuff that way, it would be such free content!

  5. I agree on a lot of points here, but one that I chafe against is 735 Chaotic set. It's inevitable that Ultimate gets power crept, of course, but as someone whose schedule doesn't allow for long raid days to clear within the first month, I'd rather Ultimate not be power crept on patch at the very least. Plus, I feel one of the best parts about Ultimate is gearing isn't part of the process. For a lot of groups, new bis dropping a month after Ultimate launch would mean progging and farming other content mid prog.

I understand using the gear is optional, I'd just rather not have the option while the content is current than have to wonder if I'm throwing by not using the gear after a 5% wipe.

Maybe a solution would be for Chaotic to launch with Savage equivalent gear on odd patch, no lockout. You would have a couple weeks to prep whatever other jobs you need, and people who don't prog Ultimate have something to farm.

  6. I'd rather Chaotic not reward Ultimate BiS, there's only 2 realistic outcomes. 1) It's balanced for the usual Savage ilvl as normal and gets outpaced significantly faster than previous Ultimates, or 2) It's balanced for Chaotic gear and the first month or so of prog is potentially miserable because you're slightly undergeared for DPS checks (if they actually try to make decent ones this time).

If we want the Chaotic gear to be relevant for Savage/Ultimate raiders, I'd prefer to see it at equivalent to Savage but with different stat combos so we could mix and match for potentially better builds at certain SKS tiers or something, but the caveat is that at the same time I would also like for them to diversify stat investment in general to make those choices more impactful.

  7. They should just increase the trophy crystal cap to 99,000 if they aren't gonna give us anything new to spend them on for months and months and months. That way we can hoard them like MGP and buy everything instantly the moment anything comes out, rendering new content instantly meaningless. The same would happen with any achievement point items by the way, with all those stockpiled achievement points. They don't want to make content that generates no additional playtime. Are criterion dungeons even still happening?

  8. Tell them to do what dcuo does, give venders to get old stuff that players both old and new have missed. The hundreds of styles (glamour) I’ve missed throughout the years I can now just buy with tokens.

  9. Sorry to be a nag nag but the volume of the music in the video is very distracting. Usually it's very low so the only bit you really hear alot is the high piched stuff. Now it was difficult, at least for me, to listen to what you were saying without being distracted by the music. Might be only me though who knows shrug

  10. On the one hand, you're right, adding the joke weapons does add extra incentive to do those. On the other hand… I'm sad because now I have to spend hundreds of millions of gil if I want all of them because I don't like doing treasure maps.

  11. I made a post on the official forums about a desire to have a Mobius Final Fantasy event with a lot of rewards.
Unfortunately trying to rely on people to keep that thread alive and make it get seen was impossible as people favor being negative, so I gave up.
