Do you even need to pay for FFXIV?

Is FFXIV worth buying, or should you stick with the FFXIV free trial? With subscriptions based games like FFXIV, it’s always a good idea to check out the free trial first. But are you giving up anything important to you as an MMORPG player? FFXIV and MMO’s are about interacting with the world and other players, so will the FFXIV trial restrictions impede on your gameplay? In this video I’ll talk about all the restrictions in the free trial, and let you know exactly how they will affect your gameplay. I hope you are enjoying FFXIV if you have already started playing. Game on friends!!

  1. soooo….I got the game on steam and it says that I have (rn) 28 days left. Does it mean the trial and I'll be able to keep playing but with restrictions or I won't be able to play at all?

    thank youuu <3

  2. The game should be free because you need to pay a monthly subscription to play it, is it ok if you buy the game and you can play it offline, or online without subscription,

But if you need to buy the game and pay for a subscription, well its bo good, yes They need to maintain their servers and update, fix box , well that subscription for you,
Why do standard games and expansions need to be paid?

There's a lot of online games with free to lay, there also some game that you need only ro buy the game and you can use it online free or vice versa, get the game free and pay for monthly subscription.

    Just saying

  4. Okay, I don’t wanna be dumb but if I get to level 60, does that mean the game is completely free for me to play?

And I don’t have to pay for the subscription?

(Forgive me if I’m saying anything stupid)

  5. but I am a super social playerrrr. I live in malaysia and our economy here isn't doing too good. if only they adjusted the pricing to south east asia…

as of right now, the price for the monthly sub is too expensive for me..

  6. You also wont be able to play as various classes in free trial, such as samurai, gunbreaker & red mage.

Im already at the 300k gil cap limit so im seriously thinking about purchasing the complete edition & subscribing to this game.

I just dont know if I want to get the security key or not. I will wait until I buy the game & play for longer before I make a firm decision since the security token isn't free & I hope it won't get lost in the mail.

  7. This game gets new content, stable servers, more servers etc. You want that for free? Do you want this to just become another mmo out there that relies on their cash shop like BDO does?

No one forcing any of you to buy or play this. So dont be uppity about a monthly sub cost when i know pretty much all of you shell out more in season passes and map packs and the like from other games

  8. The combat in this game is absolutely stale and fcked, played multiple classes up to 30 in trial, mashing the same 1-2 abilities every encounter while waiting for my GCD to pop back up, feel like I'd might as well watch paint dry. Some cooler, more appealing classes require spending a considerable amount to unlock, which I just roll my eyes over.

This game feels like mixing aspects of Gw2 and WoW together, but the end result is a big doo-doo

  9. Wouldn't it be viable for Square Enix to close the free trial expansions at Stormblood and if you miss a payment you can still play but are locked out of the the rest of the expansions? Quests, gear and everything pertaining after Stormblood gets locked but you can still play?

  10. i agree having to pay every month is shit why do i have to buy the game and pay a monthly subscription this is why i dont even bother to play this crap the devs would have made much more money if they made it so that you buy the game once and then you can play it online without sebscription add cosmetics to the game for the people to buy i bet you if this was done this way the devs would have made 10 times more money cause then everyone would play this including me i am not stupid enough to pay for the game and also for a subscription and on top of that i have xbox game pass to that also is a monthly subscription do game devs think we people are all equally rich or what now i know why i see so many adds on facbook of this they are not making as much money as they thought and we all know why subscription crap maybe i should help the devs with the next game that way they can make al least more money and people will be happy if they know they dont have to pay for subscriptions but only have to buy the game and buy cosmetics if they want to look cool also cosmetics wont change stats the hours you put in will make you stronger then other players meaning no pay to win shit

  12. The most important information you've left out is that even if you buy the game you still have to pay Monthly subscription after 30 days to continue playing the game. That on itself was the biggest turnoff for me honestly
