I feel like I'm a mix between:
– (#1) Basic Casual who likes emotes
– (#2) Glamham for edgy and cool armor (Usually including long coats)
– (#4) The Codex, although mostly for Duties that I've done a lot and classes that I've played a lot
– (#6) The CULTIST but moreso for the stuff that I've done and liked
As a former FFXI player (sorry I only bring it up because you asked if it is better) I can tell you it is not better. It is different, archaic, time consuming, and not for most people.

I think I'd consdier myself a mix between a casual and a glamham. There must always be at least one lewdfit xD
XI is pain. It's designed to make you suffer. Every minute of gameplay will have you questioning why you were even born, and the pain only intensifies as you try to complete the unmarked, directionless quests you stumble across with nary but a few lines of dialogue to guide you, a level 30 player, through a higher level zone to an unmapped side path to activate a small glowing point that will see you jumped by 3 60+ monsters you NEED to kill in order to get the item to complete a job unlock.
I love it. 11/11 will continue to refuse to pay a sub for a 20 year old MMO.

A parse is a DPS rating that spat out by a third party site that people use to track their own damage outputs vs what is simulated. Think of it like a grade on a test. Most people use it as a tool to try and improve their gameplay for high end content as it gives an easy to understand method to figure out how well you actually did in a battle.
However some people also misuse the tool and use it as a method to gatekeep OR to stroke their internet egos and claim how awesome they are when they get a great parse.
How to earn more gil than god. Step 1 buy a ton of houses, 2 do submarines, 3 profit. To gain the gil for houses you have 100 all crafts and on patch release days make raid gear, You can make a easy few hundred mil in that 1st week. If your lower in the overall food chain of the economy (no crafts or gathering jobs) focus gathering and than crafting jobs and gear penta meld crafting equips and prepare for a patch release, food/potions will sell steady till patch release to build start up gil to by materials from the tomes. Combat gil making you gain i'd say 1m/week doing dailies and if you have 3/4 friends you can do maps and sell the mounts while gaining gil do doing maps. My group made like 600k in 15 maps that got 2/3 rooms. I hope this helps (Also remember the market bord is for chumps so use it as little as possible once you have all crafts and gear/melds buy materials to save time or tome materials)
