Playstyle-wise Scholar is my absolute favourite healer. Something about it just feels so smooth and effortless. Sadly the animations are nothing special, so I hope devs give SCH some love in the future!

Nice video but it was a little difficult to follow, since you didn’t mention or show the tier rankings for the jobs until the very end of the video.
I think "job design" was a little misleading. Here, it was taken as aesthetics and feel, but it didn't dive into direct effects on gameplay, flexibility/rigidity to various situations, button bloat or lack thereof, etc.
As someone who has only played White Mage, this vid got me excited to try out other jobs. Might go for Ninja next. Thanks!

Imo warrior is still the most badass healer
Sad that my Monke is low on your list. I absolutely like the playstyle of a non repetitive rotation. Maybe we dont have ranged abilities, but SSS is one of the best GCD‘s imo.
SSS into LB = all other jobs do have more downtime than monk
SSS into Dodge = dont worry about GCD comming up and fill that Chakra 😂

Red Mage's LB3, Vermillion Scourge, is one of the coolest-looking amongst the casters, for me. I love the black magic and white magic symbols rotating into place over the caster's shoulders, then repeated in the target area right before everyone goes blind for a spell. Still, Black Mage's Meteor has an awe all its own, especially with the gesture the caster makes right before the rock comes tumbling down! Fun video, as always — thanks for sharing your thoughts on these. I definitely agree with DRK and MCH for Tank and Ranged Physical. I am a bit biased for RDM because I love the swashbuckling and flipping and visual effects for the finishers (and it's my main, heh). DRG is by far my favorite amongst the melees, with NIN a close second. As for healers, SGE hits the hi-technical look really well, and AST makes me feel like I'm a walking planetarium when I play it, so yes!

For some reason I think Monk is absolutely cool because it reminds me of one of my favorite super heroes, Batman
