  1. can't wait for the graphical updates as well! As for the downsynced content, it's not just as simple as lower potency. Think of a white mage in sastasha holy spamming mobs, even with reduced potency it would still have its stun. They would have to complete rework kits for each level to make it fair. As much as it would be nice to have all our abilities in lower level dungeons, i don't really see anyway they could implement in a way that would just make people OP. But as a PLD main, i do miss my gap closers TT

  2. One point that I think they should be less shy about is customizing the character's appearance. Many want really long hair and don't care if it goes through the dress in the back or not (my character's hair does that from time to time when the clothes have a hat in the back and I never paid attention to this "flaw"), BEARDS with all sure for ALL races as well as a greater adjustment in the character's body with more striking details to make it unique. Ok the game is Asian and the look has a tendency but if the player is a foreigner and wants to do something more western it is his right and the game already HAS such details in several NPCs it is unfair to make the player "drool" over it.. .

  3. One of the points of low-level roulettes is to matchmake with newer players who are going into the dungeon for the 1st time.
If a downsynced higher-level player still has their full range of flashy skills (albeit nerfed potencies) it will make the new low-level player feel bad in comparison.

The real solution is to rebalance all the classes and give them mobility/aoe skills at an earlier level.

  4. Look…I totally get what you mean by retention of solo players for being someone who has friends who absolutely do not care about the MMO aspect at all, it could actually be counter productive and push them away. Those friends want to get immersed in the story. Not the community. So the only hook for.those people would be……More story. And we all know that's not gonna happen because they did that in ARR and everybody hated how much MSQ there was. This is the kind of players you take wtv money they give you but are not very likely to get hooked by the social aspect because when they're done with the story of 14 they move on to the next JRPG. That's just the way it is.

  5. Would love to see a complete inventory overhaul:
Being able to craft with ingredients stored in saddlebag and retainers.
Being able to craft with ingredients directly contributed by another player.
A color rack and materia bag to use colors and materia without having to move them all the time.
Combined inventory of retainers, saddlebags, armory and classic inventory.
Filters and search functions similar to the market board.
Overall less of a chore when juggling items.

  6. I would like to see a revamp of the fc menu. It’s operating on bare bones as it is. As a fc leaser would like to know when a member joined and able to make personal notes for each player. I need to use excel to keep track of thinks like join dates and alts.
Also would love to see an in-game events calendar to keep track of raiding times or social events.

  7. On the very top of my list for a change would be synchronized friends list. If I remove someone from my list, I should also be removed from theirs automatically. It’s been a huge bee in my bonnet ever since the start of the game. Can’t understand why they haven’t done this.

  8. The solution to low level dungeons having lousy kits is very simple: make the progression of kits more linear. Currently, too many skills are fleshed out at 50-60, which puts a lot of bloat in the learning process on that point. Instead, what they need is essentially what they have done to the revamped classes in ARR, give them identity skills and core dungeon skills early and consistently. All classes need to have their AoE by level 20 as dungeons essentially are designed with AoE in mind anyway. Devs also need to be unafraid of giving them more than 2 challenging mechanics to dodge even in the early levels, because the average player will be able to tackle them even if they don't get it the first time. By raising the skill floor, you also help duty finder indirectly by improving the skill level of the average playerbase.

  9. On the part of the sync and losing abilities;

Syncing is a great concept to help newer players getting help from vets or friends that have been with the game for a while. I like your idea of lowering the potency of skills higher up but also when on a brand new party to the dungeon the mobs still die very very quickly. So a small tweak in hp values on both trash and boss monsters in the lower end would help with that keeping all abilities.

Also idk if it's in the game or not i know ffxi had it. But level syncing the party to the lowest member to replay some of the msq with new friends so the over world quest aren't completely steam rolled by say your level 80 monk friend that wanted to get you into the game

  10. -Loot reworked/improvement for savage raiding
Gearing up to max ilvl is pretty painful especially you have bad luck, not to mention if you enjoy playing multiple roles its almost impossible to gear up them up since you can gear one(1) weekly loot per floor and it sucks for pugs.
They could just give at least guaranteed a chest besides the book, give more books, and/or upped the limit of raid tomes(at very minimum double it after 4 weeks)
LOTS of people says you could play every job on single character but since you can only get one(1) loot per floor per week it bad if you enjoy multiple roles or want to learn/practice on another job(Yes can join in pf with crafted gear and it very clearable but in a pug environment it won't be that easy not to mention not everyone is a gamer especially your new to that job playing on savage )
also just give out 2chest regardless if someone else cleared for the week, its bad if you like you have only the weekend to raid and most of the good players already cleared on tues/wednesday. removing it also helps aim to clear parties since bored experienced raider will likely join in without denying the party their loot.
If they improve the loot mechanic for savage, i see the hardcore crowd going all in gear up multiple jobs without needing alts throughout the tier and casual getting into more since it easier to get gear(more ilvl = easier fight) more hardcore helping out

  11. I'd like to see more "Save Slots" for the endless dungeons (Palace of the Dead etc.). I have multiple people I run it with and not everyone has always time. So they get saved and deletes too often… 🙁

  12. I only have 1 thing I wish for in the next who cares how long as it's something I want when the game finally ends up dying out: I want for FFXIV to be tweeked/future proofed into a smaller setup so that when the game eventually reaches its end, the game will instead exist as a normal RPG instead of its current MMORPG, the story is to good to just let it dissappear into nothingness, let people who are born after the game's inevitable end be able to enjoy it!

  13. For the glamour system, if you havent already, try GW2's system, it's on a whole other lvl, with up to 4 dies to apply to a slot of equipement, and like ten times the number of hues to chose from (and expending). Plus, you get the option to have two layers of "glamour" for your class: the regular one with which you fight and an additional for more "civile" or funny costumes. So far, in my limited experience, it's the best I could think of a "glamour" system.

  14. If you like the dye system in FFXIV then you should stay away from Black Desert, some gear in BD have 12+ different slots for dyes to completely customize each gear piece. The customization is insane but the reliance on free-to-play systems is horrendous.

I pretty much solely play FFXIV for the glamour system at this point. I've done the majority of the content in the game but I still log in to search for that new glamour gear or to make new glamour plates. I'm pretty much only leveling jobs at this point because there are glamours I want to make. All I do, I do for the glam.

  15. The thing that infuriates me about FFXIV and SquareEnix is all centered around the housing. I stopped suggesting they add wards because last time they added some they only made 2 of them for private buyers and the rest for exclusively FC's. I've been trying to get a house for almost a year now with no luck. I love the lottery system when compared to the Bot system they used prior BUT this new system shows just how high the demand is for private owners that square won't do anything about because they are maintaining a low number so as to artificially inflate the status/prestige of house ownership. I constantly see houses available for FC's but then when I look at the private owner wards there are almost never any available and when there is the rare one finally available I'll go to the plot and find between 100 and 500 players all bidding on it. "We're making the game more solo friendly, except for housing. Get an FC or get lost in the crowd huddled around that one placard."
