Thank you for 1 whole year of this amazing show. I'm really addicted to this every week and I hope you two will continue doing this. I love it.
Wow congratulations!!!
with the chemistry you guys have, i would've guessed you've been friends for years. it's crazy to think that you didn't really know each other too well before this
At the very beginning Ruri questions whether they should have celebrated 1 year of the podcast on the actual date it started on when they did enough episodes to match the weeks in a year but then goes on to state that number is 56. Actually there are 52 weeks in a year so considering episode 52 was on the 16th which was the closest episode to the 10th it would have actually been the best time to celebrate.
I LIKE THE RAMPAGE SKILL DOUBLE SPIRITBIRD
This means we have to ask the age old question – Which came first? the Wyverian or the Egg?
No raw damage should always be raw damage. If you choose element for a specific monster that’s good. But raw is raw.
No Ronaldo is in Germany
The thing about the Roegadyn healer is pretty much the same idea I had when I made my Au Ra healer
Congratulations for the 1-year anniversary! This podcast has made this year much more enjoyable for me as well. Gotta say my favorite part is probably the dynamics of your banters hahaha. Cheers!
So you're saying that every year for my birthday, I will get a special podcast?! I'm in.
I don’t get why CB got so many complaints. Axe hopper is one of the best switch skills and it’s still crazy fast. You don’t even really need all those skills people say are required
46:15 nice ahegao donation lol
How does each year have 56 weeks?????
I was a fan of each of you before this podcast. I learnt how to play via Gaijin and I enjoy world’s content via Ruikan. So Uber happy with this podcast.
Happy anniversary! Thank you so much for running this podcast, hearing two of my favorire MH content creators (and so often!) is amazing 😉
Pokemon and Monster Hunter have too many similarities now that freaking eggs became a mystery. Pokemon is like "we don't know where these eggs come from, they just show up." Meanwhile the Monster Hunter community is like "We don't know where these lizard waifus come from, maybe they are platypuses".
Personally, I think that Pokemon SwSh ranked so high despite all of the criticism it got in part due to the criticism primarily coming from the vocal minority and with said poll likely having been conducted with more casual audiences (who either wouldn't know or even care about said criticism).
MORE NIER REPRESENTATION LETS GOOOOO
happy holidays everyone ♥
Ruri, there are 52 weeks in a year 😁
BTW FFX spoiler in this podcast, goddamn gaijin lmao
They did get rid of Xbox live gold lol
Didn't expect I was gonna get spoiled on FFX towards the end.
Great podcast btw!
I have a trial account and wanted to upgrade yesterday to full and we cannot unfortunately 🙁
Happy one year!!!! And cannot wait for all the amazing future podcast 🙂
Spanish subscriber over here!
And about games that made me and my partner cry a lot : Nier Replicant….. omfg…..
Cristiano is at the UK right now, btw.
Co-hosted by Rurikhan and GaijinHunter, equal partners in a great on-going conversation.
"I cant hop forward with gunlance" – I was a GL main in 3U, & went back to it a few months ago, you dont hop, you do a forward thrust, the GL is the only weapon I'm aware of that has this much forward movement with its frontal walking attack & you can use it to dodge with some practice.
i never played charge blade before rise, but i played a LOT of charge blade in rise, and its some of the most fun ive had. I will say i think the counter kinda messes up the whole flow of the weapon bc you dont really have to go for charge anymore.
If i remeber correctly the 3ds screen on 3d actually display a more clear image, because with 3D on display two 240p images, divided in columms of pixels for each eye. And in 2D only uses one side and uses a bilinear filter on the whole image (i think) and it looks blurier, el original toy-like 2DS actually fixes the blurryness of the screen and the new 2ds reverted back the blur.
Aether Data Center has a lot of Streamers so it has 4k to 6k que. The Crystal Data Center I had 30 to 50 Que. So yeah, depends on the server.
I started a new Character with the intention to only use Controller. It's been… different, but do able. I chose to main Lancer/Dragoon with that Character since it seemed easy to do with a controller. As a Tank main I'm too sheepish to try to Tank with a Controller.
I still cannot fully understand the concept of loving Monster Hunter but HATING the grind. an entire half of the game (albiet quickly diminishing due to oversaturation of QoL) is taking your time to gather resources, prepare for hunts, and THEN being able to forge your hard-earned gear, as a reward for your achievements.
This might sound more radical than intended, coming from someone who thinks world is one of the best MH titles to date; but the nature of everything you could ever want being handed to you like candy (plates, gems etc) has seriously poisoned a lot of people's perception of hunting monsters in general.
I'm not saying that anyone who "purely enjoys fighting large monsters and that's it" is invalid or wrong, but it feels like a lot of newer players are mainly after the "boss rush" aspect of the game, without needing to be bothered by all the steps it takes to reach or fight said boss.
It sadly kind of feels like there's a deepening split in the playerbase between people who want to play a "hunting" game and people who want a pure "action" or "boss rush" game.
Just had to come here and say here's to another year. I listened to this when it started here but soon moved to audio only so had to hop on and say it keeps me going through the work weeks. Here's to another year of Monster Hunter. Thank you both for the entertainment!
I realized something while watching this, Shogun Ceanataur means the return of bleeding, I think it confirms Seregios is coming back in Sunbreak.
Charge blade is the most nerfed weapon in rise. Ruri doesn´t even know that they cut down half the i-frames from all morph moves and the animations are slower by default.
The only thing i want from MH6 is to ignore rise and use the world CB as a base. Otherwise i´m not gonna play my favourite weapon, again…
55:45 FF14 had really good art direction. Things don't look exceptionally good alone but when put together, the cohesion and the art vision carried it very far making it look good.
When you said you got a new chair I thought you got the new Rathalos chair. Was about to sayy

In my opinion, tank is the most lenient to play. You can take a few hits and vulnerability stacks without any issues. It gives you the chance to learn the fight. It is a very good way to learn each fight.
In my opinion healer is more stressful than dps if your party is new to the fight or not good at the fight, because healers job is to correct everyone's mistake.
i tried FF14 but dropped it, so confused on what the heck to do and what things do lol
Ruri is right about the 3d effect. You actually can see more and it is clearer in 3d. That's how it works, very cool.
Rurikhan you have no idea how much monster hunter and its content creators especially you, Gaijin, Arekkz, Josh and cotton helped me get through this bad year. I'm grateful for running into this community and getting to watch all of your content. Also congratulations on the anniversary and a Happy new year to everyone reading this!!
